Loved hearing you talk about pushing the limits and making huge mistakes is part of the style and how painful it can be. I can relate so much to that, Ive been a creative player my whole career and have some wild HHs in my database aswell. Ive also figured out alot about the game that goes against conventional wisdom due to my testing of the boundaries and "seeing how far I can go". Im currently playing 2knl and Im trying to get more familiar with the equilibrium strat as I plan to be playing 5knl and above soon, so i think you need a high level understanding to play against the best in the world. But It was great to hear you speak on the subject of creativity and know theres other succesful players who think similar to me.

you are the most unique player ive ever seen, it would be really cool too see you do sme analysis with solvers and then use your amazing exploiatative intution to explain how the spot could be played to maximally gain EV, I've never seen a player who can make me go from almost clicking off the video thinking you're a fish to having me question my entire game. pr0ps

Thank you, essentially me calling in the BB means I have a massive 2x advantage over the co and sb and players are over cbetting this scenario heavily. My pot size cbet OTT folds out many of his flush draws and I never have a worse hand by the river so its an easy bluff vs his Kx and AA region.

Quality winrates and content - Did you find you got any rakeback on either GG or Stars and how many bb/100 did it add to your winrates?
@playitsmartpoker
@playitsmartpoker Жыл бұрын
Thank mans, all of those win rates are pre rakeback. I get probably the lowest percentage of rb from stars and GG since they use that pvi system. Haven't really spent the time to calculate and just focus on winning the most I can pre rb.

Pardon the obvious, your exploitative arguments might be sound especially vs population in pool. However, when you come up against a high stakes reg and likely the strongest reg in the pool, why would you choose to literally deviate based on arguments that the rest of the pool is making leaks. Surely a high stakes reg likely DOESNT have those same leaks hence why they are not a regular part of the pool?
@playitsmartpoker
@playitsmartpoker Жыл бұрын
Short answer, doesn't matter if its saulo or llinus love. Every human player overfolds certain nodes especially against sizing schemes that are less played. Very easy for a player to overfold in that spot vs my size with no history.

Interesting stuff..as a theory player myself its super hard to think about exploits at 1st after countless hours of studying and drilling my brain always goes aha what are my blockers here do i unblock his turn folding range after he called my flop cbet is this a barrel in theory based on that etc etc. My brain would never ever let me overbet turn with 63s there cuz i know that X is more EV in theory even tho in prac it might be better if he overfold all those 77 99 JJ but then again thats way to much assumptions and costs way more brain power,my greatess strenght is volume because i can play thousands of hands without getting exhausted because most of my decisions are automatic from all the studying but i do agree in prac some lines are definately more EV than what solver suggests.....its just a GTO player could never deviate that big because as i already said deep inside the brain thinks that overbet is a mistake from what ive learned if that makes sense
@playitsmartpoker
@playitsmartpoker Жыл бұрын
Hey man thanks for the message. The question you need to ask yourself is would you be willing to deviate heavily from GTO if you knew your exploits were effective. The only way to start building that confidence is to start playing more creative. If you're good at it, your win rate will sky rocket and then your brain will allow you to deviate very often. There is a lot of value in the idea that playing gto only can let your autopilot play a long time.

Do you recommend this style for microstakes? Often I know exactly what the opponent has and in my opinion he should fold it but he doesn't and I lose the stack. I get the impression that this style is good against regs/weak regs but against fishes or very weak regs not.

Nice content! 45:15, What are your general thoughts on this spot facing the river all in? Of course there could be tons of reasons which lead you to call river here depending on your thoughts of the guy, timings, sizings etc etc but I'm curious to know if I'm way off in my first glance opinion of this spot. Feels like villain is telling a very believable story and i would expect most pools to be under bluffing here, Im under the impression that at small-midstakes the kind of meta here is that they see the middling turn, think it isn't brilliant and they check JJ-AA extremely often and therefore i feel like they probably wont come close to finding the 16 or however many bluffs they need to balance that overpair region. Cheers

@@arranatkinson8348 In a nutshell, hes saying he has an overpair that was going for the turn check shove. My hand is nice because it unblocks all of his bluffs kts kjs qjs q10s etc. Me calling is essentially me saying he barrels too often with a lot of those overpairs so his range will have too many bluffs. I also mainly have bluff catchers in this situation so I need to call something. This combo seems good.

How do you get your assumptions? Your are saying ,,I will diviate'' Would like to see a solution where You actually show what inputs You change. Furthermore, I would like You to confront Your work with other kind of the same style poker player to see if used of the solver was optimal.
@playitsmartpoker

How I get my assumptions is my range analysis exploitative framework that I have been working on for 15 years. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses. My math in poker is mediocre at best, but my ability to node lock in my head in real time is my strength.

I have now posted an almost 2 million hand sample of me crushing the games with some of the best win rates ever posted publicly in those games. If a player cannot accept that as proof of my frameworks but will accept me clicking a few buttons on pio solver as anything meaningful, they should move on as this channel is not for them. 🙂
