The Carrera 4S Manual with a glass roof is my jam, but you can't go wrong with any 911, especially with a stick. One of the best sports cars in the world. Manuals are for drivers only.

Wow, that one's pricey! I think I would rather have a lightly modded used Carrera 4. Exhaust and intake. That's all I would need.

I bought a new left-over base C7 Corvette in 2019 for 48k out the door when everyone wanted the new C8. That's 1/4th of this Targa after taxes. I added an AWE exhaust, Afe race sway bars and lowered it on the stock bolts. It has the same amount of HP, sounds better, has zero body roll, is a Targa too with the removable roof. I put 20k hard miles on it with zero issues. While the Porsche has more features, they are not worth an extra 150k. For a 200k after tax Porsche, you really need an income with throw-away-money, something like making 300k or more a year. That form of income is archived by some 1% of the US population. At that point most car guys want something exotic from Italy. Porsche used to be the next step up from VW, with many more people being able to afford it. They are clearly out of touch with reality.

@@RDP54 You would have to make a win of 150k on the Porsche before your math works out. That may take 40 year. By that time, it was a bad investment. Chances are, gas engines are outlawed by then and who wants to own an old Porsche that can't be driven anymore? Even short-term your claim makes no sense because the initial purchase price is 150k higher. On top of that, I can sell my C7 today for the same price I paid 5 years ago, due to high demand. That won't happen with a 5 year old 911 targa. Moin!

I would never be caught dead in a Corvette 😂 For me, a Targa GTS is easily worth $150K more. I’ve got one on order in Rubystar to go next to my Cayenne Turbo GT. Sorry you can’t afford such cars
