I drove a brand new 2022 Ram 3500 Mega cab AEV Prospector XL with the Cummins. Almost 150,000.00. Even had the optional AEV paint job. Truck rode great and handled just fine. Started life as a Limited trim level in black. Left AEV in bright orange. Got a lot of looks and comments.

The Ram AEV equipped truck is a great looking truck. The Ram Rebel is also a great looking truck. I think there are 2 reasons the mpg between the trucks differs between the low teens and high teens is the AEV having the 40’s and the heavy duty bumpers front and rear plus the front wench. The Rebel has OEM tires and the diesel engine. Both were super nice looking trucks. Thanks for sharing the review JB.

Past RAM's were usually re-geared when AEV installed the XL 40" package. There has been a delay on gears for 5th gens. I would imagine the difference would be minimal when geared properly.

I have 35 inch Duratracs on my 22 Power Wagon and they are pretty quiet. NO road noise like you have talked about on the GMs.

75mph at ~1500rpm, is crazy!! I'm in a '06 Ram 3500 srw, with the 4 speed auto and I do 70mph @ 2k-rpm and 75 at around 2200-2300rpm. Come on Lotto! Daddy needs a new Ram!

Now that I'm watching the footage again, it makes sense why the AEV was running lower RPM's, its because the gearing is higher 👍🏾

The Rebel is a disappointment for me because it's not available for the 3500. Its mostly an appearance pkg like the AT4, The Tremor is the true off-roader 👍🏾

Yes, I really will do little off reading, but love the look and just looking for the one the keeps the most payload and towing capability, around 11,000lb. I think the super duty is most capable but my wife loves the at4 lol so probably will go with that just hope the 6.6 gas with new 10 speed can perform

Rams likely have sound dampening through the stereo making the tires quitter to the passengers. Jeep does this.

I just “paid” 49000 for a 2500 tradesman with snow chief, and a few other options, sticker was 70,000. Bear in mind I traded a Tacoma so I had a lot of equity, but I did get $12,000 off before trade. A few upgrades and it would look a lot like the AEV for a lot less
