Turles genuinely blew my mind when I got him. He’s not even a character I’m particularly partial to, but man, what an incredible figure. “Peak Figuarts” is right, he’s just that good. Totally deserves the top spot, and makes me hope 3.0 Vegeta (namek please) has those same shoulder pads (if they do that namek version)

So far for me from what I got its: 1. Turles 2. 2nd Form Frieza 3. Gamma 2 4. Trunks Expanding outside of Dragon Ball I'd probably put classic Naruto at 2, incredible release to kick of the classic Naruto line.

Im glad you were honest about trunks. It looks amazing but really could have been a much better release. It was one of my most anticipated figures ever. But was honestly my most disappointing. Great choices in your list. Orange piccolo is definitely in my top 3.

looking at the entire lineup I just want to say i am personally glad we are done with the superhero releases lol. Turles and 2nd Form Frieza clearly in a tier of their own here. kind of regretting passing on Turles because he seems to have turned out so good.😅

I preordered the rereleased Trunks and I’m hoping they fix the issues as well. I haven’t been collecting DB Figuarts as much as I used to, but Trunks is my favorite character in the series so I just have to add him to my collection

What a year!! Fantastic releases. Pro tip if you grabbed one, kong 3.0 ssj3 battle damage body with Goku Awakening head sculpt and youve got a perfict figure!! Great video!!

My #1 fig of the year is interchangeable between Son Gohan Beast or Trunks. They're both so good.

Second Form Frieza is probably the best Dragon Ball figure ever made. And not just because of the quality of it, but also because 2nd Form Frieza was and is the most intimidating transformation in all of Dragon Ball and probably the most iconic next to Goku as SSJ. No one ever thought we would get this far in the line. Really hoping for a Semi-Perfect Cell, Kid Buu and BuuHan at this point. Dabura and Babidi would be nice as well.

1. Orange Piccolo, 2. Second Form Freeza, 3. Beast Gohan, 4. Pan, 5. Broly, 6. Vegeta, 7. and 8. Gamma 1 and 2, 9. Trunks. Trunks is massively, massively disappointing and I like it less the more I look at it. Don't like the jacket design in the back, the lack of any smiling expressions and the QC issues. I got all of this year's releases (outside of exclusives and re-releases) except the accessory pack and non-canon evil Goku. I wish I could get the SDCC Goku, though, and definitely have the new 3.0 SSJ Goku preordered. I feel like once the new Goku releases, he will neatly slip into the #1 spot. He looks absolutely perfect. Android #19 will likely be somewhere in the middle. Maybe #5. I don't collect the non-canon stuff, so I skipped Metal Coola.

Word tour Goku is the BEST SH, it hit all dots from 1.0 2.0 n the updated faces n painting they starting to place on the 3.0 ! I just found one new for 142 thank the heavens !

Definitely agree they overcomplicated the design on Trunks I think. The qcs were really bad on trunks, also the peg that connects to the sheath pegs out too easily, which is a bummer

From what I got 1:Turles like you said perfect figure 2:Beast Gohan mostly because of how good he looks and the accessories his articulation is nothing special but it's good enough 3: Namek ssj Goku perfect ssj goku only problem is how expensive he is already 4: Trunks literally everything you said is how I feel about him And yeah that's it when I get orange piccolo hopefully he's number 2 I don't see him being better then turles

My top 3 are Trunks, Turles, and Frieza 2. Holding spots for LSSJ Goku and Metal Cooler, but for now stepping outside SHF to round out top 5 with Kong SSJ3 Goku and Jada Chun-Li. Not featured is Beast Gohan who finally arrived from pbandai to edge out Trunks QC for biggest disappointment. Great aesthetics, but sorry to say I do not like the torso setup at all.

I see that Event Awakening Goku could that mean a review (hmm hint hint), Solid list 86 Yeah trunks could have been number 1 or 2 or even 3 but the QC is holding it back glad it's gonna get a reissue next year hoping the QC on that reissue is solved, I never thought Turles is number 1 but that might change with the Inevitable release of the New Battle Damage SSJ Goku! or the ever so SHINY Metal Cooler!, I always thought it was 2nd Form Freeza would be you're number 1 currently, which despite not me having that figure is currently my number 1 sh figuarts Dragon ball figure of 2023

regarding tamashi rereleasing trunks and fixing the issues, is that something they've ever actually done before or just wishful thinking? Cant think of an example where they fixed widespread issues of a figure with a rerelease, usually ends up exactly the same. would love for this to be true lol.
