2023 Sea-Doo GTX 170: Overview/Walkaround

Welcome to my 1st KZbin video. I am new to Sea-Doo and decided to create a KZbin channel to help newcomers like myself as I continue to learn. In this video, I take you for a quick tour/walkaround of my new 2023 Sea-Doo GTX 170. Enjoy!

I have this exact SeaDoo. I love mine. First thing I noticed on my first ride for break in was the handle bar wasnt straight. If I held the bar straight the ski would drift to the right. I loosened the linkage on the back Jet nozzle and turned it out 2 turns. Perfectly straight now. Enjoy your new ride.

Hey @mattsbrute, I had a similar issue during my test ride (only it was to the left). They took it back to the shop to adjust it and it was good to go. I hope you enjoy the channel and thanks for watching! By the way, check out the storage organizer if you don't have one - just installed mine and I think it's going to be VERY useful.

About 25 hours, I believe. Was hoping to get it out one more time this season, but probably going to have to wait until 2024. Trying to get a quote on getting it winterized. I read online somewhere it ranges from $300-$700.

I bought a 2023 GTX 230. Got it in the spring and put over 45h on it this year. It's been fantastic! I installed my own USB charger. I used the optional depth finder wiring to do it so it's only on if the system is powered. The Sea-Doo branded USB isn't great frankly, but it is plug and play unlike the one I got. But the one I have gives way more watts for charging phones and such. If you just got it, I recommend you verify all the clamps/hoses to ensure nothing is loose. Sometimes the assemblers forget to tighten a clamp. Just remove the deck and tug on all the hoses/wiggle them. Enjoy buddy!

Thanks, @OnlineLuc. I'm not sure if I'll end up getting it or not. We'll see. Getting a quote now on having it winterized, so hoping to have whatever I want for next season done while it's in there. Was thinking of getting the cupholder installed, but with the organizer I have in the storage compartment, not really sure I need it anymore.

Hey, bro, you and I have the exact same ski. GTX170, I got mine in April. Love it, I'm 61 years old. I'm overweight out of shape. I live in the Michigan, the speed laws on the lakes and rivers in Michigan is 55mph. for personal watercrafts. That's one of the reasons why I didn't get the turbo. I'm looking for comfort and cruising. I'm going to be starting my KZbin channel on my ski and other stuff hopefully by spring of next year. Where are you from Alex? I saw a drum set in the corner of your garage. Do you play drums? I used to play drums years ago. My nephew is got a real nice drum. Suddy's trying to sell, it's a collector's addition. He sold all the symbols but they still has to drums. Let's keep a touch ciao for now Alex.

@paulpuglia8480, thanks for watching the channel. I'm a bigger guy as well - 6'0" 285lbs (was 315 lbs when I bought it...trying to get some more weight off). I don't think there's really a need to go faster than 55mph, at least for me personally. I feel like bad things happen at high speeds. I know some will disagree, but that's my comfort level for now so the 170 works great. Goodluck on the new channel. I need to post more consistently on mine. I'm in Kentucky. I played drums off/on since I was a kid. Considering selling them now. Pearl 5-piece Export with Zildjian cymbals. Had to make room for the Sea-Doo! lol
