2023 Sienna Tri-Fold Cargo Liner | Review

I've been thinking, about why Toyota didn't make the rear seats lock when down when stowed. Only logic i can come up with is that when the seats are down, it's because you'll be hauling something, meaning you'll have items on top to keep it down while driving. So leaving it unlocked, makes the movement of the seats easier in general, especially when lifting up. Also is 1 less thing to possibly break in the future. Also if you get rear ended and the compartment gets tweaked a bit, it wouldn't prevent stowing of the seats just because something is slightly misaligned and unable to lock. I'm starting to think it's more forethought than something designers forgot about.

Could you fold them the other way so the sienna part is on top when using as a cargo tray liner?

Do the folded 3rd row create noise when it’s moving about? Kind of surprised that they didn’t design the seats to lock into place when folded.

Nope no noise when in motion, fingers crossed! Yup I read that the designed is carried over from the previous generation?

Do you know if you can still fit a temporary spare on the left? I know Siennas with the ottomans don’t get it by default but it would be nice if one will still fit in that space if you bought a spare!💯

So the downside is that you fold it split.
