Just remember that if u play Mortis in duels, creepy harvest is useless there because every time u kill an enemy u heal back up anyway. Also I like Colt's first star power slick boots because moving with his shots is the whole point and u can "catch" opponents with ur faster movement speed thus hitting more shots

21:43 after playing Mandy a little bit I actually realised that being standing still is the way we actually are going to play Mandy because her focused range is actually insane and when she is moving she gets out-ranged by the majority of the snipers in the game like Belle, Piper, Bea, Brock and even Colt or Otis, that are not even snipers

Screeching solo is surprisingly good. Healing teammates while also being able to instantly deal 1000 damage in a massive area, even through walls, plus you can get Poco's super pretty fast. De Capo! is just stupid good. Every single attack you can heal teammates a meaningful amount of health while still dealing damage. It's basically turning every attack into a mini screeching solo.

Many star powers have niche uses, like 8-bits boosted booster for boss fight/robo rumble. And bo's circling eagle for cavern churn. It's really difficult to make a balanced and fair tier list for star powers when you factor in these uses, but you did it pretty well with minimal controversy.

I think that the Bea’s HoneyComb star power is better than you think because with this star power she can: charge her super shot, and when she has that shield, she can approach enemies easily (because she is protected) and hit her shot easier than in a longer range shot

If you're buying your first star power for Surge, go with the first one if you play a lot of Showdown, and buy the second one if you play 3v3. They are both actually really good, but it just depends on the gamemode.

The only time I use grounded (Belles second star power) is in the big boss event (the 5v1 event) cause those 3 seconds can really mess up the big brawler in that mode, since not only they can’t defend themselves properly but it helps guarantee more damage from your teammates on the boss

For Eve, i wish Happy Surprise wouldn't waste everytime you take a shot. There are other Brawlers who use an ability with a cooldown but their ability doesn't get wasted if you miss or shoot a gem box. If it requires to make her cooldown longer so the shot isn't wasted unless you hit an enemy target I'd take that.

Remember the good old days when buzz was released? Tougher torpedo was somewhat decent lol. In closed maps its helpful because that minimum time allows buzz to do 2 full attacks even at point blank... which charges up his super again for a 2nd stun :D

I think push it is actually better for Colette because one, you should really only be playing Colette against tanks such as frank, el primo, and rosa. Which means if they manage to get up close to you, you can just push them away, out if their range and into yours. Second, it lets you hit them with the super twice which would deal even more damage especially if it’s a tank

Tbh honest this info is very outdated. Theres almost never going to be a time where your opponents clump together or your teammate is gonna line up with an opponent. Malaise is really good nowadays since it is no longer a sharpshooter/thrower meta, it is now a mid range/aggressive meta which the reduction of healing for 9 seconds help byron relieve a ton of pressure and after the nerfs byron really sucks at dealing a brawler running up to him. Tho its my 2 cents since I unlocked him a month before his reload nerf

yes malaise is good, but injection fixes his problem in 3v3 modes. hear me out you want to take damage to your enemy, but your teammate is blocking your shot and your ammo is wasted to heal a teammate. with injection your shot can pierce thru teammates and enemies. your teammates gain heal, your opponents take your damage, 2 in a row

@@renga9764 That's usually due to bad positioning though, like the guy above said you should rarely find yourself in that situation. I find having anti-healing and being able to pressure your opponents with your super because it'll get them out of the match for 9 seconds way more valuable than landing a shot against an opponent through a teammate, your super just becomes a finisher then, while with anti-heal it's a constant threat.

I think leon should have a speed buff to his super by default at around 10% and his smoke trails star power should increase that to something like 20% while also reducing the radius that he is visible to enemies when using his super to 3 or 2 tiles

I just got stu’s zero drag this morning and this video came out, so I guess competitively I didn’t make the right choice, but zero drag definitely brings a lot of fun to the table, and I am all for fun when playing the game. Zero Drag while overall worse than Gaso Heal, still has its use. It makes it so you can close the gaps and catch up to enemies easier (e.g if you're outranged you can dash pretty close to the enemy with it). It's good at juking attacks. Basically, gaso heal counters melee and Mid range, Zero Drag counters sharpshooters. Of course, buy Gaso Heal since it's better cause the difference isn't too big and you can still counter any brawler with either of SPs.

As someone who quite consistently uses zero drag in casual, i went back to gaso heal once and it was painful, you really get used to the long super range and a bit of healing each time doesnt feel as significant

2:45 a MASSIVELY overlooked part of this star power is that it can track enemies too. Scouting enemies in bushy maps gives insane value due to the bounce going towards them, while also giving the turret more value. Absolute nightmare behind a wall in open zone.

12:16 : note from a casual 20k player: injection's usefullness comes from tha fact that it also pierces through teamates, since when teamates get infront of you, you cannot hit enemies. so you heal AND do damage with the same shot

I kinda disagree with Robo Retreat. Rico's go to gadget is Bouncy Castle, Multi Ball Launcher is basically not used. Robo Retreat would only work when you're low health, which most likely is when you use Bouncy Castle to heal. Not to mention, because both Super Bouncy and Bouncy Castle require walls to work, they both complement each other really well. I agree with the A tier ranking with it needing some skill to use, but I think Robo Retreat should be B tier.

Robo retreat let's you fall back to heal. Bouncy Castle is slow to use so you need to be safe to use it which makes it work well with Robo Retreat. Often times keeping the speed boost can be better than healing only to take damage again. Extra bouncy is still the one I like to use because it compliments his kit better but Robo Retreat is still really good.

Yes, you will likely "retreat" and heal up with it, but you would most likely lose position with how far you went to heal and the enemy might have gotten better position. The bounce shots allow Rico to position himself in places where only throwers can hurt him. Hiding behind a wall and able to continue applying pressure while healing if necessary.

@@ASP4wesome For your first point, Rico is a long range brawler and fighting at long range means falling back is faster and doesn't put you in an as drastic positional disadvantage as other fights. The distance retreated is often short. You're argument about him not needing it because he is always behind walls doesn't work because in most maps he won't be able to attack and be completely safe at the same time without being in an overall bad position. Robo Retreat allows Rico to play more aggressively by letting him escape insanely fast. Speed is an important part for brawlers like Rico because it let's him pick fights and have more control over them.

The problem with robo retreat in competitive play is that rico is only chosen over other brawlers at maps that suit his bouncing shots the most so the first star power is nearly always more valuable.Robo retreat is only good when you want to play him at a sub-optimal map.

Bibi’s Home Run Star Power should work differently in my opinion. You usually get a home run after you hit a ball yes? What if instead it gave her a speed boost after knocking enemies back with her charged bat? Not only is this a little more logical with the name of the Star Power, but it also combos because when she is hitting an enemy away she either wants to run away from that enemy, or wants to attack them, which is hard if she just knocked them back.

I feel like gus's 1st star power and 2nd gadget are underrated. I use this build a lot with gus in brawl ball, hot zone and sometimes gem grab and it provides nice value with good teammates (although most randoms are not so good). In a situation where you'd only have 1 ghost out you could have 2 or 3 which is like 4,000-6,000 health for later or for a survival objective. I like doing this in brawl ball because you can get a super and heal up enough health to walk the ball into the goal. I'd consider the 1st star power to be around C tier for things like this but that's just me

2:00 I think that screeching solo is better because if your playing against a penny for example then da capo isn’t really useful, as you can’t stand close to a teammate, but with screeching solo, it can always be useful, and finishing an enemy through a wall is awesome

If you're playing with randoms, I would switch Byron's star powers. The reduced healing is good, but only if your team can capitalize on their weakness. If you don't have a team that can take care of those brawlers that can't heal, then it's basically useless. Meanwhile injection you can hit both teammates and enemies with the same attack, saving fights that they would have otherwise lost. Also randoms are more likely to group up and block your Byron shots, so that also is a point towards injection

I think he made rocket number 4 seem a lot worse than it is. As soon as you fire your first shot ur immediately starting a reload, as long as you don't spam fire, the extra ammo slot helps, even if to just get a head start on the next rocket

I use dynajump for over 2,5 years, as a player who mastered jumps even after the update, I think this starpower is not that bad, but demolition is more competitive

I thought dynajump was more competitive because pro players can use it perfectly which is really hard but helps a ton!! I always tought its the better choice because it helps you stay alive against assasins and gives way more opportunities to make plays or stay alive. 3:35 Automatick reload is definitely not the way to go against other Ticks. Well-Oiled allows you to heal back the damage other Ticks do to you really quickly, which will always win you the fight. This is especially the case in passive bounty matches in competitive.

I think Black Powder is definetely better than Healing Shade because that Healing pet almost die immediately after you land a super on someone where as the damage one gives you at least some pressure

I honestly think Grom's first star power, Foot Patrol, is really useful, for a bunch of different reasons. 1- When you die, you can easily get back to the action because without it, you are really slow 2- You can easily dodge shots because of your movement speed 3- Grom can easily catch up to other brawlers and even get into position on the map faster than the enemy team (sometimes) + he can run after brawlers and kill them without them running away 4- Sometimes, since your a thrower, you want as much walls as you can get on the map and even if you break them, you can still dodge enemy shots, and sometimes your teammates are brawlers like El Primo or Buster or Rosa and you can't always afford to break walls because od them and you My opinion, yeah the super's damage is good but is like 2 basic attacks worth of damage and can always break the walls you don't want, X-Factor is a good sp because ot the damage but i don't honestly think is THAT worth it sometimes

1. No.3 is a good point. 2. As a thrower you should not be dying that often. You should be dying at most 3 times per game. 3. It’s the poco buff again where a small damage buff but requiring one less shot to kill every brawler has the ability to launch one of the worst brawlers into the top of the meta. 4. A starpower that buffs every attack without drawbacks is ver busted. Think of otis, janet, colt, and sam(hearty recovery)

I struggle with properly using Amber and Leon super/star Power. With Amber, i mostly want to be aggressive, and setting enemies on fire is the best way to charge up my super. I seldom want to stay near my oil pools to charge my super or reload ammo, let alone have the time to have two pools on the ground. With Leon , i usually become invisible to hunt enemies and kill them, so it's difficult to effectively use invisiheal. I would like to be able to heal while fighting, but that's not possible because as soon as you attack invisibility stops. You can of course become invisible to heal while escaping, but overall i feel like both brawlers promote an aggressive playstile while having star Powers that want you to wait passively or escape. Am i doing something wrong or other people feel this tension?

I always use rocket no. 4 because if you can unload ammo consistently with brock and often hit his shots, you basically have almost unlimited ammo

disagree on leon’s smoke trail gadget, as an avid leon player most of the time you want to make plays with his super, which is where the speed helps for quick kills. Invisiheal is good if you’re trying to survive or run away but the speed is also good and getting you away so i think it should be at least a B tier star power

Byron's Injection is really good, the best choice, I never played Malaise in my entire life You have to wait some seconds to charge it up but Byron gets the piercing shot with the longest range, both dealing damage and healing mates. also if you play in duo you can shot ennemies through boxes to scare them away. in the other hand Malaise is pretty tricky, landing it on ennemies will, most of the time, result on killing them, and if you throw it on allies the sp just does nothing !

Idk, but imo people underrate Rosa's thorny gloves star power, I'm not saying it's the better star power though. I played Rosa a considerable amount of time using this star power until I got her healing one, and once I played her with the Plant life star power I really felt the difference. I wish the return part of Colette's super was faster so she wouldn't take so much damage, especially for push it. In its current state, she ends up dying to characters like spike and shelly really easily which punishes you for using her super into some comps

The only thing with this tier list is that it seems to cover more like if you were playing solo showdown. Some Brawlers have Star Powers that benefit the team better with right Brawler line up. Want a Frank who is indestructible? Give him the HP Star power and mix him with a Byron or any good healer and a Colonel Ruffs with the HP increase Star Power and just watch that Frank tank it all (of course hiding when things get drastic).

Little pro tip : Belle's 2nd Star Power is one of the worst, but he is effective on Bea and Bonnie who have 1 ammo. Just wait them to attack and use Super !

I personally find using mandy's second star power an incredible disadvantage, because her projectile speed will be just as slow while focused like normal because you aren't using her first star power anymore. Her focused shot is incredibly useless when her projectile speed is so slow imo

I know nobody gonna see this, but the zero drag star power is really good. It shuts down tanks and assassins, wastes buzz super easily (buzz becoming meta slowly), is more fun to use, can close in gap between both tanks AND sharpshooters, escape sticky situations in like 2 supers, etc. Also what is the use of healing when you don't even get hit? The other star power greatly limits his mobility and escaping ability for only 800-1200 healing per interaction. I used to hate Stu, but after I got this star power few months ago, it has become my carry brawler in pl and saved me in many solo gamemodes. This sp has been slept on and a few months down the line people will finally start to realise how good it is. I kinda hope nobody notices this cuz I don't want this sp to get nerfed...

This is a solid list but i think coiled snake is decent for people who are good with mortis especially in brawl ball.I also think nani's tempered steel is a good shield.
