The dotted pages are used for other journaling stuff. Like me who does bullet journaling, I use the dotted page for my habit tracker. The dots are only used as guides to make lines, boxes etc.

Im having a dilemma i already have the champaigne because the champaignes color on the outside is great but I also love the inside of the black one I also love the acrylic tumbler but it seems as you said one drop and I'll shatter to pieces what do you think should I get ? The first one you're doing to open the rings is correct. Need lang pindutin yung sa taas at baba. No need to pull the rings.
