Are you talking about when the 12v accessory battery is depleted or the main 72.8kwh battery?

Heya Tyson, I have a question about the charging schedule. Well, it is really for my 2023 Crosstrek PHEV. I see that in that schedule you can set it when to start charging and it won't begin until that time, even if it is plugged into a charger. What I would love is a way to stop the charging session from afar. It does not seem to stop charging, if still plugged in, and it reached my stop time. Is this only to trigger inside cooling or heating while still plugged, or can I somehow remotely stop the charging as well? Thanks!

He may not know anything about that, CT PHEV was only sold in Quebec (annoyingly).

I'm not overly familiar with the PHEV Crosstrek system, but I'm guessing that there is a home charger set up that you could get that would allow you to control it via Wi-Fi/Bluetooth and start/stop charging.

@@TysonTheSubaruSpecialist Thank you Tyson. I live in a condo, so I do most of my charging at public chargers, unless I am with my partner and I can use her wall outlet. I was hoping that the scheduling tool in the car or MySubaru app could actually stop charging when still plugged. I was wondering if the Solterra offers this, because it likely has a similar schedule system.

I have another question about that cloth on the dash for the Solterra and the similar cloth on the doors / seats for the 2024 Crosstrek Onyx. When cleaning the inside of my 2023, I am a big fan of the different armor all products, but of course these do not work with those cloth dash, door and seat sections. Do you recommend just using a good handheld vacuum cleaner for those sections? Thanks!

A vacuum should work well for cleaning the carpeted dash of the SolTerra. That's what I'd try myself.

I understand what you're saying. I don't typically go over pricing in my videos because all pricing information is available on the manufacturers website and individual dealer websites. In addition, the different EV rebates that could vary province by province/state by state/country by country I don't have information on, so any price that I could give wouldn't necessarily be accurate.

Hey guys! I just got one from Royal Moore Subaru and I will say... I'm getting about 300+ miles of range. 4.7miles per kWh. :D

They launched 399 0 down. On the v Basic solterra. That 8 inches screen is depressing. Not sure why cutting off the screen Its my only draw back

I got the 399 lease special with the 8 inch screen. No worries at all about that, I’m more into power lift gates. That’s what I’m missing. Great vehicle tho.

I didn’t even think they actually sold this one, even the Subaru Canada website doesnt use the base model price as the ‘starting price’. Also I honestly wish these tires were an option on the luxury/tech package, I’m not a fan the low profile ones. A black rim factory option would be nice too.

Yep, they do make them! I wish the 18's were an available option, too. If you take the hub cap off of the base model it's a black/dark grey alloy wheel.

I own a Solterra and while going out during a heavy storm, one street had a current of about 8" of water coming down and I drove through it at about 13 MPH and several undercarriage panels got ripped off and it was not cover under the guarantee. But the worst part is that the spare parts are not available and I can be without a car for 2.5 months according to the Subaru dealer. Subaru is selling cars without caring for having spare parts available. Be Careful.

Yeah, that's correct. An outside influence caused damage to your vehicle, and the warranty is for manufacturer defects/workmanship. An outside influence doing damage to your vehicle isn't warranty - running water is not a manufacturer defect. Everything is in short supply right now, and you have the first model year of a new vehicle. Parts are going to be slower to receive than something that's been around for a while. That's common with all manufacturers. I had a customer wait 4 months for a fuel tank in a new vehicle when someone drilled his fuel tank - it happens. I understand that you're frustrated that you may be without a vehicle for two months, but that's hardly Subarus fault. Driving through 8 inches of running water at 21km/hr is hardly advisable.

@@TysonTheSubaruSpecialist I really question the quality of the parts involved , because is not that I drove on the flooded street on a sustained 13 mph , but that was the speed I entered that street. We also own a Honda Pilot and my wife had to go through the same street (same conditions) and nothing happened to the Pilot. Weird.... So because another customer had to wait for a fuel tank 4 months we as customers should expect to normalize waiting times of 2-4 months? I don't think so. I suggested for Subaru to take the parts of an unsold Solterra and sell them to me , but Subaru corporate didn't agree, leaving me hanging. This was my fourth Subaru , and my last one.

@@luisramirez-mv7es Different vehicles are different, water flow changes, drivers drive differently. I'm saying that manufacturers don't often make "extra parts" when vehicles are so new. I'm not saying that it should be the standard, but that it's the way it works with all vehicle manufacturers. The focus is selling vehicles, not producing extra parts for stock. That sounds a call by a dealership, not Subaru corporate to not give you a new piece off of a vehicle on the lot. I can understand your frustration with having to wait, but why should a dealership take a new vehicle and make it so that they cannot sell it while they wait for another part to come in so that it's drivable?
