My father was an enduro rider when I was kid. He unfortunately passed at a very young age. He rode for the Delaware Enduro Riders Club. Some of my fondest memories are those races, spectator points, pit stops etc. Delaware had an awesome National Enduro for a lot years. I remember the first time I met my favorite rider Scott Summers and he signed my hat. Nothing like hearing that old XR 600 coming through the woods. Hear that thing coming for Miles it seemed like.. Good times. Thank you all for these videos. Brings back so many awesome memories. Blessings

Same here man. Starting when I was about 3 or 4, Dad would sometimes prop me up on the front of his Husky 250 CR race bike and take me with him on early morning practice rides before he went to work. He'd coast the bike down the hill behind the house until we were far enough out of earshot of the neighbors to fire the bike up. At the bottom of the hill he had to ride about a half mile up a rural highway to get to the trailhead, which he usually did at top speed and entirely on the back wheel. There was a particular spot in the woods that was shaped like a giant skateboard half-pipe where he'd let me off to watch him practice different ways of riding up huge, rocky vertical walls. I can't remember what I had for dinner two days ago, but I remember every detail of those rides. Good times indeed.

Depending on your health condition, if it means anything, there’s people I ride with that are 60+ year old and kick my butt. I have psoriasic arthritis and still ride.

I wish Grant would dedicate himself fully to racing he could be one of the all time's. I know being young and wanting to have fun, But when you are older you will regret the things that could have been. there is only one shot. There are many could have beens sitting around campfires saying Man if I had listened to my dad I would have broken records. Im rooting for ya Grant.

Kinda confused at what you mean? You do realize Grant won the overall and is the reigning National Enduro Champ right? Wondering if you meant someone else?

@Offroadviking probably talking about his brother, which doesn't make much sense either

It sure is like a hare scramble,Enduro used to be a timed race where you had to maintain a certain speed average throughout, not a motocross race through the woods, when did they get away from that format ?

It may have to do with the 900 plus entries.

@@flyinghigh7779 that was what Americans made it. In Europe, where it was invented, it was more varied. The change here came after failing to win an ISDE after a bazillion years. We had to send WORCS and GNCC riders to finally win.
