wait so this model is actually slower than the non-hybrid?? this did 0-100 in 9.1s while the older 1.4L turbo non-hybrid does it in 8.1s

That's correct and there are 2 reasons: 1. The non-hybrid has more power - 140 hp 2. The non-hybrid has less weight, about 50-60 kg less. The non-hybrid is also more engaging to drive, from other hand hybrid version is more easier to drive and is more economical.

@@lark4231 You know what's intresting: I spoke with the guys from Suzuki in Germany and they told me that the mild hybrid system does not power the car like in normal hybrid or plug in hybrid, mild system just asists the engine making it more efficient and smooths over the gaps before the turbo kicks, in fact there’s no turbo lag and the acceleration builds steadily. I know that in english articles it is given the information with extra power and torque, but the Suzuki specialists explain that this extra power and torque asist only in those moments when usually you get a little delay (turbo lag) that means practically the power from mild hybrid is not added to engine power at its high peak and this means that at maximum peak of engine you don't get more than 129 hp and 235 Nm, that's why officialy Suzuki gives only 129 hp, cause only 129 hp you get at maximum peak. (Sorry for my broken English 😉)

so I got a win bying a Chinese car "Haval" 1.5T SUV 4cyl that goes 0-100 in 8.1 sec? cant compare it to a sport light weight car cause its not stable exceeding 180km/h but man its a 8.1 sec heavy SUV with a little engine? wtf?

It's not that little, plus you probably actually do 9/9.5 secs in real data, plus there are a few more variables

0 100 7.6 seconds not 9.0 and weight is 1.025 kilos not 1095

Well, actually not! The acceleration of 9,1 sec / 100 km (not 60 miles) is given officilaly by Suzuki from Germany. I've made it in 9,0 sec, some journalists from Germany managed in 8,9 sec, but all the tests are around 9 sec. Now about the weight - 1095 kg is the weight of the tested car with the tested trim and it is taken from the technical passaport of the car. Maybe there is here a misunderstanding and you speak about the Non-Hybrid version of the Swift Sport which is really faster and lighter.

@@alto6 May I ask where are you from? Maybe you get a different version, because quite often we get in Germany different specs and versions of differents cars in comparison for example with USA, Canada Great Britain, Asia Switzerland etc.

​@@alto6 well my friend, that can mean that you get also smth different, smth better than in Germany, because as I said our swift hybrid drives around 9 sec (checked and proved by many car journalists and car magazines in Germany). The same also with the weight, it is all official. I can give an good example of that - the Nissan 350Z in Germany got a bigger radiator than the ones from other countries, because in Germany you can drive as fast as you want on the Autobahn (highway) and they needed a better coolent system for 350Z sold in Germany, maybe is the same situation with Swift Sport. Or maybe in Greece the weight is calculated dry like in Italy, because in Germany is calculated with all fluids and also with the gasoline tank full, I don't know. But at least that data is offical here 😃
