I enjoyed that, thats about my pace, the only problem i see with that is how do you get back, do you get picked up, do you ride back. But i couldn't attend regardless, im in Australia, we have our own events but this one is as flat as a pancake

This ends in a park in Staten Island, and from there is a half-mile down hill to a ferry that takes them back to where they started. The bridges are the hilliest parts.

How difficult was it to get up the Verrazzano Bridge?

It is a bit difficult to get up the Verrazzano Bridge. This is the last leg before the finish line. The key to getting over the Verrazano bridge is pacing and riding in a slightly lower gear. I usually coast on the downhill portion

Not too bad and this is coming from a Clydesdale. I believe I only stopped to take some pics but rode the whole way up.
