2023 Toyota 4Runner Limited 4x4

LOVE LOVE LOVE this. I had a 2002 Sport Edition and traded after 21 yrs. Now I have a ‘23 Runner Limited in Metallic Gray and Plan to have it for a long time. It’s so classy, elegant but strong. There’s none other.

Love the Limited trim my favorite by far because I'm old and never go off road. The full time 4wd is what sets this model apart from the rest. I live in central PA and the winters can be unpredictable so the safety of all wheel drive is awesome. My 4runner also has the 3rd row seating which is great for stuffing a couple of kids back there in a pinch. Best vehicle I have ever owned by far sad to see the gen 6 coming next year but that's life.

The ventilated seats is what my wife and I care about. The limited is the whole reason why we'll more than likely turn in our Macan at the end of the lease and get one of these

Just make sure you wash the under carriage and rust proof it with something like fluid film. PA winters are rough and they salt the crap out of the roads. The only thing that will kill this SUV is rust. Preventative maintenance is the key.

I have a Gray 2021 Nightshade. Best vehicle I have ever owned. Had, many good vehicles in my life, Acura, Honda, Subaru, Lexus, among others and this one just feels different. Solid. The simplicity of the 4Runner is very reassuring. I do a lot of driving for work and have about 42,000 miles on it, and not even a hiccup. I really dread the day when Toyota moves on from this generation; I fear they will just complicate things.

"Not taking off road"....HILARIOUS!!! The Limited has the same 4-wheel drive system as the Lexus GX460, full-time 4wd with locking center differential, it can easily go off road. Admittedly, you should put on some TRD Pro wheels and all-terrain tires (at the very least, put all-terrains on the 20" wheels), and you'll go way farther than you think you can.

My gripes are very minor. And more of a wishlist. It’s currently 6/14/23 and I literally just bought my 2023 Limited in blizzard pearl white 2 days ago in Nashville Tennessee with 6 miles on it. I’ve ALWAYS wanted one and finally got it. 😂 No doubt in my mind that this thing will last well after they’re lowering me in the ground. 😂 I’m 47 so 🤞🤞🤞🤞 that’s several years from now. The ride is great and I love the old school feel of the steering.

I like that it is more old school. I have a 2023 and she is comfortable and has plenty of power to do what I need it to do. I was rather shocked at how big it felt when driving, but very smooth and under control. The 15 speaker JBL system will blow your ears off if you turn it up. Overall, a very good "truck". I say truck because it feels more like a truck than most SUVs.

Not a fan of the chrome front. Nice over all. I have a 2019 blacked out 4 runner. The chrome makes it look old. Just my thought.

Real nice family SUV. Love the black exterior with just enough chrome to make it pop. Beautiful interior and seat color. The only negative seems to be the low mileage figures. I assume the mileage would take a nosedive if you were towing the limit of 5,000 pounds. As usual, another great review. Thanks!

Love our 2023 Limited. Only complaint is the noisy drivetrain. Makes a groaning sound right at 50-55 MPH and it’s so annoying.

yeah, I got a 2010 one recently and went on some easy moderate trails with it all stock, its pretty capable. 4low went crazy when mudding. I thought I was going to need recovery but it was good. center diff is also torsen.

This is probably the best review I've seen on this vehicle. After sitting in one, I'm considering getting one of these. But, only because my local Chevy dealer here in The Bahamas can't bring in a Tahoe for less than $110K. The [best] alternative is the 4Runner from our local authorized Toyota dealer. Not interested in other OEM brands.
