Was it the furthest back position for 3rd row when u sat there? If so, looks very cramped

Great looking truck but that storage area behind the 3rd row is absolutely horrible. Toyota had almost 10 years to get it right and they failed miserably. Other full-size SUVs are leaps and bounds better in that regard. It's for that reason I will have to pass on this model. Sorry Toyota. Maybe next time.

Yeah but I just can’t own a GM product. Blah. Will just have to deal with the rear cargo.

@@chrisd5383 Agreed that the rear storage is terrible. I also can't go with a Ford, GM or Stellantis product so it will be either a Sienna or Sequoia. Fortunately we are grandparents so the rear storage isn't at critical for our needs as it would with young children. Have a Sequoia Platinum on order (on a list that is).

@@BrickyardPowerMan yeah I hear all of that! Same here and I don’t want to afford Escalade, navigator, or LX. I have two little ones. We unloaded the 4Runner and all of stroller plus accessories and put them in the new sequoia. It’s was the same amount of space and just a little more inconvenient so we may just have to deal with it.

@@chrisd5383 We currently have a '21 4Runner Nightshade, our 3rd 4R.... haha, embarrassed to say our 3rd Metallic Gray as well. My wife is hung up on that color though she has picked silver for the Sequoia. Love the 4Runner except for the engine (lack of power) and the lack of a 3rd row (we accepted this going in so I can't blame Toyota for this). Key thing now is she wants to be able to seat two grandkids and our daughter whether on trips local and away. We are comfortable in the Tundra but it isn't as convenient with the bed.

@@BrickyardPowerMan grey metallic lol! Yeah we love our 17 4runner premium 3rd row but we have a boat and converted camper/ enclosed trailer that the 4Runner can barely haul. Both are around 4K pounds loaded and it’s a struggle when going up hill. The 9k pound towing capacity and huge torque will be useful for us.

like it toyota went back to a solid rear axle only one in its class, but the fold down 3rd row takes up to much cargo space, want to build a car camper over lander.cant bolt down the slide out fridge on top of a folded down 3rd row, bad design, still think toyota could Bring a base model LC 300 GX non luxury car ,back to the U.S. in between the 4RUNNER AND sequoia,for us true off roaders who don't want a luxury car and no 3rd row
