For those with audio issues, it seems to only affect mono speakers in phones, try earbuds or headphones for stereo and it should be ok.

Yeah he's super underrated in my opinion. He's not the fastest rider ever, but he can ride any bike on any track at any time and be fast. Definitely a highly skilled rider!

I love my '89 Suzuki rm250 with big bore kit, complete Race Tech front and rear suspension, everything IMS makes from foot pegs to my 5 gallon desert tank, I still use boysen reeds and JT sprockets on front & rear with blue anodized tekensago rims just put all fesh UFO plastics all the way around.. nothing like the smell of a 2 stroke with vp's110 mixed with some good ol bel-ray in the tank.. I'd like to say thanks and I really do appreciate all the companies still makin parts for the 2 strokes out ther that keeps my passion alive!!

I grew up on 2 strokes and i ended up getting a 450. The power on demand is quite amazing but the bike is harder to start(have an '07, not electric start) especially after it stalls which happens way more easily and the bike is heavy and harder to handle in the air and not even get started on how hard maintenance is compared to 2 strokes. I'm currently looking into getting a 250 2 stroke and going back to where it all began. I'm happy some KTM never stopped making them and improved on their models. Looks like they starting to make a comeback!

Well, then don’t ever ride one, and you won’t know what you are missing. Four strokes were way better than two strokes since the beginning in 2001 when Yamaha came out w the 250f. I could only imagine how much better they are now.

Man I don't know a whole lot about MX, but I grew up as a kid on a track, watching my dad and family riding these bikes that sounded like "weed eaters". I remember hearing 4 strokes years later, and I hated it. Ill always love the 2 stroke sound, and the fond memories of being around it as a kid. Just a different type of bike. Love it.

I think the key to improving road safety for motorcycle riders is to take riding seriously. I think, perhaps motocross motorbikes replicate rare dangerous conditions on the road. I have pretty good mechanical comprehension. At least the, tyres are a similar size and have similar grip. The front wheel should have more grip .

I guess if a 500 was better someone would have raced one. Even a modern chassis 500 hybrid. No BRC's in the pro race, except maybe past top 5 coz I have no idea who else was racing. Had to go for the old CR though the Yam is really an old bike too. Love to see some of the other classes, thanks for this coverage Dirt Bike Magazine.

I would love to see this race evolve into a national series, but at good local MX tracks instead of national FIM tracks. You know the places will be packed. I would rather see than then a national myself. The national tracks are too fast for 2-strokes anyway IMO.

i love 2 strokes,,,,i grew wth 80s bikes myself: 86 honda XR 500,,,,,85 KX 80,,,,85 honda 225 3-wheeler (i think it was 225 or 250' it was red-white-blue)... & Watching ricky Johnson & jeff ward & ezra lusk on the 250s & thn on the 500s on ESPN evrywknd... Just look how fast these 2strokes are flying around the trk... They can keep there 4strokes'

The thing I liked about it the Track isn't manufactured. I had a conversation with ChatGPS about Moto X tracks and asked it could tracks be manufactured to fit one bike over another? And yes they can. In fact one of the biggest reason factory bikes have such an advantage is probably because they have computers telling them how to adjust their bikes. But I don't watch much MotoX since they got rid of the 2 strokes. I do watch enduros and in them the 2 strokes prove their worth there.

Usable power is the key, Who remember Steve Lamson winning the MX Desnations on a 125 between a whole field of best riders of the world on 500cc? Jeff Emig did the same at Lorettas 2021 on a 125 modified to 150 between all 450s, I see that weekend at any track, People struggling trying to ride a 450 and they can’t handle a 85cc, 4 strokes yes are easier to ride and maybe more power but what you can’t do on a 2 strokes.

Just one thought about you comment on "will 2 strokes ever come back to AMA racing" you said no I don't think the manufacturers would go for that ( I'm paraphrasing) .I say, unless the AMA changes the rule, and allows equal displacement, of course not. A 125 against a 250, or a 250 against a 450, there not going to do that, but pit 250 against 250, ect. and then let's see how things evolve.

Man!!! We've gotta do something to get the 2-Stroke competitive again in the AMA races. A 125 is not close to a 250 4-Stroke and same with a 250 vs 450 4-Stroke. They need to update the rules to allow some serious competition for those who prefer the smoke!

When did they screw up MC racing and eliminate 2 strokes? I raced in the desert AMA D37, and DRA desert racing association [one race] and in the D37 From memory: 0-100cc, 101cc to 125cc, 126cc to 250cc, 251cc to OPEN...400,500 whatever. Classes Beginner, Novice, Amateurs', Expert; and Seniors [I think over 50] and women. that was it. If you had a 250 four stroke you raced in the 250cc class, if you had a 500cc 2stroke or a 4 stroke you were in the open class. In my day a 400 husky, was it the overall etc. I would have to say our club 100cc rider in a 125cc frame was high in the overall, passing a lot of others. So someone pls help me here what the heck happened. I was 28, and just out of the Marine Corp and never raced a M/C before and just made Novice, in about 8 races, ok I was NOT good, but what an experience, and my family loved it. We had at times 250cc bultaco, 250cc CZ, 175 MXyam, MR50 hon., and a 50cc Motovilla for our 5 year old. In the Spokebenders MC of Redondo Beach, CA. Great event. semper fi
