@@markbauer909westend KTM 250SX-F has 44hp / 21lb-ft, 237lb wet . YZ250 has 43hp / 27lb-ft, 227lb wet . Hardly "destroys". Almost identical, give or take. They are cheaper to maintain though, and cheaper to repair. And they are easier to "mod" as far as porting, head shaving, etc. And the funfactor is always up there. But people think they are miles ahead of a modern 4-stroke in overall performance. Not really. It doesn't even have electric start, or EFI. Sure, you don't "need" them, but they are better to have.

I’m 51 and ride a 2003 KX125. Used to ride 250 2 strokes, so I’ll be back on a 250 soon. Went to Swampland MX yesterday and it was awesome to jump some lil tabletops. Now I have to lose 50 pounds so I can breathe! 😂
