@@beaulandexavier5486difference in pros and amateurs. I just met a guy who lost $200 from Hal Sutton because he wanted Hal to show him the difference in tour players and scratch golfers. Hal told him to putt on the practice green from 40 feet and Hal took an 8 iron to 30 yards and started chipping. Hal told him he’d go in $200 on a closest to the hole contest with 12 balls each. Hal got more balls inside a 3 foot circle CHIPPING WITH AN 8 IRON than a scratch golfer did PUTTING from 40 feet.

LOVE Rickie! And for the record, I was so wrong about him when he was a young star. I thought he would end up being a punk. I was WRONG! He’s a class act on MANY levels! Have you ever noticed how many times Rickie stayed at majors to congratulate the eventual winner, regardless of his own finish? That’s pure class! Nothing would please me more than to see Rickie smiling and hoisting a US Open trophy!!! But whether he wins it or finishes T50 or misses the cut, I’ll still be a huge Rickie Fowler fan!

It’s legit taken him ten years to just be playing again. Butch says every aspect is on point rn and they’re not working on anything. If his putting is truly on, he might pull this off. i looked at a flyover of this course and i knew these players would tear this course up. they talked about how hi fallutin it was and these pros made them have egg on their face. you give pros 49 yard wide fways and they will go crazy. way to go ricky. been waiting awhile for this

When Rickie came on tour with his long hair and bright colors, I was very judgmental of such an intrusion into the sport. But as the years have gone on and I've seen interviews with him and what a genuinely good guy he is, I really hope he can win this one. He's been so close in majors several times and it would be a travesty if he never won one.

Pulling for Rickie to pull it off. I just think the course is such a good fit for him than he will be in the hunt the last 36. The flatstick is working better than any of the others in the chase. Always saw him as a major winner. His finish at The Players a few years back was proof positive he has the right stuff when he's right, and he seems to be now after working with Butch Harmon.

Great round but this course is definitely not the typical difficult US Open that's the norm and the fact that 2 players shot 62 makes me kinda feel bad for Johnny Miller who shot his 63 at Oakmont(an actual difficult course.
