Unfortunately I think that's the direction things are heading with jomez getting bought out. It's a push to get more paid subscribers. I'm not sure how I feel about it but I think it's important to keep coverage free for people getting into the sport.

I really tried to watch the professional coverage for this a couple weeks ago and i just COULD NOT. Idk if Jomez has just spoiled me but the fact that theyre just constantly jumping around cards and players and shots made it impossible for me to get into it. I love just following the lead card every round. Really makes me feel like im there.

Sucks that DGN has changed things for the worse... I literally just didn't watch this event because of the lack of free coverage. The subscription service is too much to ask for something we've already been getting (at a much better quality) for free. Jomez channel thank you as always! Just sad to see the trend of pro tour coverage.. and next year isn't likely to be better. 😞

That's how every professional sport works. Disc golf has only just started the journey, so expect it to be a lot worse in a couple of years' time. Condensed highlights for free, live coverage behind a paywall. Uli and Big Jerm will eventually retire and that'll be the end of Jomez as we know it.

It’s the “masters of their sport” and we can’t even get free coverage until 2 weeks later after the season already ended…yikes. Imagine if every football game all year was free and then the super bowl cost $25 to watch.

You have to pay for all the disc golf pro tour events if you want to watch those live, except one round. Only the edited version has been free and you see highlights of football games for free too. So it is like they would show the highlights from Super Bowl two weeks after the game. I know know many sports that has this kind of edited version that lasts for an hour per round and it is for free. It is like showing a football game without commercials, breaks etc. the next day for free. So basically the full game but 30% of the length of a live game. Maybe these edited versions will disappear entirely and they make only highlights. Length of a video would be 5 minutes per round and all live coverage is behind a pay wall. This is what happens in many sports.
