My dealer is doing the same 55k with 16k in savings. Selling them for just under 30 k. I’m not an EV save the planet guy but trying to decide if this is worth it just for the price . If I can even get an even trade for my vehicle now my payment with still be $100 cheaper with the 3.9 interest for 72 months they are offering

Thanks, great review! I’m looking and likely to get an ID 4. Also have a Bolt EUV so appreciate your compare/contrast comments. I found this vid very helpful. I’m debating whether to get all wheel drive or not, so your comments on this are extremely helpful for me. I love my EUV, but this is definitely a more premium experience. Between the tax rebate, VW incentives and dealer incentives it’s a great deal currently.

The other thing that this model does not have as standard is a rear mirror with Homelink. I had to order one from a dealer in California (which had the best price) and I installed it myself. I do not like having a garage door remote sitting loose in the car as it could be stolen and facilitate a break in.

Nice review, I think you said it the best when it comes to the software. It's Ok but could be so much better. The fear for most owners is that VW will just not make an effort to fix the current gen software since the 2024 will have version 4.0.

It’s the best *looking* non-Tesla/rivian software, functionally it has a ways to go. Although the updated version I looked at on the Atlas was significantly better

I have test driven 4-5 of the cars in this price range and the VW is definitely the least impressive of the lot. Its just sort of meh... I really don't get why it has such good reviews.

@@BachmanVolkswagenLouisville All EV's. I've recently test driven the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and 6, the Kia EV6 both wind and gt-line trims, the Ford Mach-e (and the lightning). I've also owned a 2019 BMW i3s bev and my first ev was actually a 2016 VW e-golf. Everything you said about the cockpit was true. The ID.4 display feels closer to my 2019 BMW than any of the other cars aforementioned. Also the materials in the car feel sub-par. Even the mach-e i was pleasently suprised with the styling, cup holders, etc. I don't love the huge ipad that looks like it's stuck on with a piece of gum, but the rest of it felt great. The ioniq 6 sel had the nicest options on a lower trim.

I liked it a lot more than i expected. i'm not really a sedan guy but i was still able to fit a surfboard with a seat folded down. not bad! It definitely made an impression. @@BachmanVolkswagenLouisville
