yes only if you cruise gentle with cruise control you will have good fuel consumption until if you push lots on pedal it will drink alot. like overtaking or sport driving it will drink alot. this volvo drives really so good and comfortable. the 185 kmh limiter is annoying for me. volvo should put limit to 200 or 210 then it will be decent fast enough.

Thank you for these videos. For me, this test drive compilation of yours with this and the city drive especially, were important when I was choosing between cars. For example, I was worrying about how the engine sounds both inside and out: others say that it's quite rough and obviously it's a 4-banger, but I think especially for a 4-cyl in normal and even "spirited" driving it sounds fantastic! Even better than the BMW B48, which sound also OK for a 4-cyl. I ended up buying a 5/2022 S60 B5 AWD Inscription with the lovely white leather interior. It is one of the last cars with the Volvo Sensus -system and not the Android that is seen here, but that is what I personally prefferred, I like the Sensus gauges much more. I also think that with this Android upgrade (= for the model year 23) you could only get the Recharge version (T8) here in Finland anyways, and I didn't want that. For me, the biggest reason for this is that the T8 lacks a "proper AWD". That being said, personally I can see the resale values of plug-in hybrids go downhill as they are much more prone to expensive failures compared to both ICE-only and full EVs, because they come with problems of both systems, and if you only mainly use one of the two systems, which many people are doing, you are going to degrade the other one prematurely. Also, I reckon over the next couple of years full EVs get better and cheaper quickly, which also makes plug-in hybrids obsolete, where as I think during at least the next 10-15 years ICE-only cars are still going to have lots of demand in certain areas.
