2023 Was The Best Year Of My Life! What Will 2024 Bring for Free Spirit Equestrian?

HAPPY NEW YEAR HORSE LOVERS! 2023 was the BEST YEAR of my ENTIRE LIFE!!!! A few highlights included purchasing Belle at an auction and her giving birth to a surprise foal. Esmeralda is my first foal and we even threw her a Gender/Name Reveal Party! Another huge highlight was having Morton remodel our ENTIRE Barn Exterior. What a project that was! Purchasing Zazu was also a huge blessing, he is the best horse ever and he has made myself and so many others happy. This year was filled with some awesome trail rides and camping trips with the horses too. I also started Mushu under saddle this year and that as a big milestone for him and he has progressed over the last 6 months. I worked really hard all year and in October I launched a successful Equestrian Boutique with all of my designs including bitless bridles, lipsticks, and more. We have had over 1000 orders!!!! I mounted Belle and she is doing well with her groundwork, and we are working on her future plans. We also got lucky with GREAT weather for the Michigan Shoreline ride on the beach, something we look forward to once a year! It was fantastic. My mare Bagheera turned 30 this year too! We also added a new family member Arista, who is a crazy little kitty! Plus Koa & Penelope had a great year as well. Then of course I ended the year with a BIG BANG and bought my dream horse Lumière. I really don’t know how I’ll top this year but let’s see what 2024 has in store! Wishing all of you health, success, and happiness!!!!! I have always dreamed of Clydesdale since little girl, in my teens a buckskin and recently in my older age gypsy vander as well learning liberty training. In a life changing spinal cord injury that felt like it ended my horse journey but learning it just changed it no more jumping showing all over but liberty with horse that is safe. 😊

Belle's never ending joy when she has a chance to run and play is wonderful. Like she realizes she doesn't have to work today! I think even in work, she is always surprised that she isn't hitched to a wagon or plow, and a little bit of riding in the ring is all she has to do. I think once she is steady under saddle, she will really enjoy trail rides!

You know. Sometimes we have dreams and goals but in reality not everyone will be able to achieve those goals. If they do there’s no guarantee that what they dream is truly what they want. I’ve come to accept that I won’t be able as I am mentally ill and have over 20+ years trying to stabilize myself and it’s just not happening. I’m definitely not saying I’ve given up on trying. One thing is for certain, watching others reach their goals and living their dreams is always something that helps bring me joy and motivation. I’m so happy you get to share with us all of your achievements. We’re so proud of you!❤ Edit: Also I am really excited about the rescue horse if you still decide to do that this year. That would be soo awesome!

2:35 - this was such a beautiful moment to me. Watching horses play with each other, run around, and being free! I absolutely love and adore people like Shae who allow these herd animals to stick together, and not be cooped up in stalls all day. For quarantine, or winter, stalls are fine, but I think a lot of people who watch this channel can agree that keeping a horse in a stall for most its life isn't good for the horse. As I sit here, watching these clips of such beautiful horses play and gallop in the pasture, I'm filled with joy. Horses are such lovely animals if handled and trained right, and this is a perfect example of that. Have a great 2024 everyone, hope you had a good 2023! ❤

It isn't easy to find them and they are ideal for trail riding. The pockets don't have to be huge, but big enough for a hoof pick, water, a few snacks... stuff like that.
