Omg!!! Akhal Teke has always been my #1 favorite horse but I have never ever seen one in real life! That is incredible!! Beauty just continues to get more and more special every day!! Me neither, especially as the number one! SHe is more medium build and her personality is kinda sleepy and chill even when left alone, quite the opposite of any Akhal I've seen. I wonder if she'll have high endurance though! ;-P

Would have never guessed this either given she's an Amish bred horse likely. I would have guessed Rocky Mountain Pleasure horse in there for sure. But I sort of doubt the Pervian and Akhai...However I would believe that those two breeds would be used to develop the Mountain Pleasure horses. .Like the dog DNA lineage tests, I really don't think these horse breed tests are all that accurate. and how DNA works, if you breed two Mountain pleasure horses together, the genes for the other breeds could be magnified and come up more frequently in a DNA lineage test.

Some part of this makes me think that maybe she had some tb or other light breed down the line with a decent amount of teke blood, especially if we're looking at horses that would be available to the amish, generally don't know much about gaited breeds though

From 1866 to 1940, the US Army operated Remount Stations throughout this country to ensure a steady source of quality horses for military purposes. The Remount Station used by my family was located in Front Royal, Virginia. My Grandfather often told me stories about the stallions local farmers crossed with their farm mares. Every 4 years the Army would travel through the countryside buying the colts. As I recall, the following stallions were stabled at Front Royal; a Spanish Jack, a Thoroughbred, a Standardbred, a Suffolk Punch, and his very favorite a 14-hand Morgan. The genetic makeup of many horses today reflects the influence of these Army Remount Stations.

She was not cheap though plus some of the better Amish breeders have some amazing quality stock and they breed extra on purpose to train and sell. They may have preferred a less sleepy horse for their own work though. Beauty is a bit of an energy saver type horse who might be better suited to just mid to low level amounts of work instead of working out in the fields for long periods. The breeders would have a lot of very high quality stock to choose from such that even the ones they desire less are still super good horses for many uses.

I just want to point out something that a lot of people don’t notice. In this video you can hear her clucks, kisses, woahs, and a rewarding words like “good boy”. This is so important because you don’t want to be kicking on you horse right when you ask them. I love how I can hear those cues and it just reminds me of how good of a rider you are. Good job!

I personally think it’s jealousy or insecurity when others comment narcky stuff. Shae is stunning, growing in confidence and rightly so. She works so hard on her channel and lines of business, she’s a growing business woman with a great head on her shoulders. To be able to balance all of that as she does, you need to be bold and fearless. I love the fact Shae feels comfortable in her own skin and wears gorgeous colours. I believe in lifting others when they’re learning to fly, not trying to clip their wings because you may not be able to reach the same heights. By lifting them, you also lift yourself and become a better person too. Soar high Shae, keep glowing because your mission is beautiful and so are you. 🙏🏻✨🌻

My daughter just nabbed a really tall dog from the pound - part Shepherd/ part Doberman, approximately 3 years old...and we have no idea why anyone gave her up!! She is just a sweet huggy love and suits my daughter perfectly. Maybe it was how big she got. No idea.

We got our sweet Samoyed, Casper, when he was 5. His previous owners were unable to keep him anymore, and they chose us to be his new family from many who wanted him on the Facebook website on which they had posted his need for a new home. He turned 13 the end of last year and we cherish every day we have with him.

I have 2 rescues. They were strays so their breeds are a guess but the vet and I think my first is a shepherd/lab and the second is a catahoula, possibly a pure bred but might be mixed. Pretty sure my first was a failed hunting dog that got trained the traditional way and just lost his trust in humans and the catahoula was too submissive and is epileptic so they ditched him, not the best for a farm/hunting dog. I love them so much, I couldn't ask for better dogs.

@@iloveowls90 I just picked up on something. Just because the Akhal Teke is mentioned alphabetically first, doesn't mean that Beauty has a high content. These breeds are listed from A-Z. I think it's more likely she has a little Arabian in her, rather than AT. Also wanted to point out, as Shae said while these breed tests are fun, they should be taken with a grain of salt. A friend of mine has a Ragdoll cat with a pedigree tracing back almost 30 years, yet the breed test said the cat was 18 % Ragdoll.

Becky here. I used to trade out work for boarding my horse. One of the new horses in training was sooooo spooked by everything. We strung a rope across the top of his paddock and draped a tarp over it so is would blow around in the wind and then put his hay under the tarp. Food motivated him to face the scary thing and after just a week anything could blow up during training and he was chill.

Hi. I live in Germany and stopped riding (Dressage & Trail) many years ago., because of so much bad stuff is done to horses a lot of times. All over the world. I never owned a horse, sadly. She mentioned she was hunting for a word Beyond "Elegant" and I think she was either looking for "Sophisticated" or "Debonair". Royal blue is obviously a regal color but combined with her light and dark color coat, it extenuates character and gives the air of refinement. I know it was a simple detail but I was also hunting for the word when she mentioned how to describe Beauty's look in the bridle and saddle.
