[2023 Wrap] EFF changes the face of SA politics

The EFF and its leader Julius Malema will go down in history as having changed the face of South African politics in 2023. The party marked its 10th birthday this year in a rally, the likes of which we've never seen in this country before.
Will its show of force and strength at the FNB Stadium at the end of July, result in a better showing at next year's polls?

Should the EFF come into power, then Investors and Big Businesses ( think Checkers, Pick n Pay, Woollies, Banks, Mining Houses, Food and Construction Companies, even H+M, Cotton On, Gucci etc) will leave SA overnight, taking their considerable skills, talent and capital (money) with them. This will immediately make SA a much poorer country and millions of people will permanently lose their jobs as a result! The State will also lose its biggest Taxpayers in the proces, and will struggle to deliver even basic services to the people and to maintain and build new infrastructure in the country. The economy will collapse and the Rand will crash to record lows. Imagine empty shelves and paying thousands of Rands just for a loaf of bread?? This is not far fetched or sensationslist. This is exactly what happened in Zimbabwe and Venezuela when Communist Policies were implemented in those countries!! Just Google the price of bread in Zimbabwe in 2008 and see for yourself!!

Why don't you do it yourself, I know a madala from King who worked for electric companies for years and when he built his home wired everything himself, his son helped him tile his floor aswell. I know another white madala in EL who use pipes that goes to a barrel to collect roof rain water and he uses that for his toilet. Bottom line, hard times force people to think out the box. Get a tank, some pipes, ask resident plumber for some help, or use your internet on research into plumbing and do it yourself. Bottom line: government governs, they aren't charity. That's why there are jobs, so people can build houses, do plumbing etc. Unfortunately that's where ANC is failing, governing this country, creating jobs or environment for SMEs to flourish, rather than cutting off power which loses jobs.

Having recently watched the Arte tv Documentary about Mayor Chris Pappas ( only 32, fluent in isiZulu) of uMngeni Municipality in KZN on KZbin, the DA is by far the best choice for proper Service Delivery and has a 15 year track record to prove it!! Do you know that poor people in uMngeni Municipality now have solar powered street lights for safer communities and solar panels and inverters to assist them with load shedding??

Can they deliver as a government? Solving water and sanitation, health care and housing are excellent ideals. But he will need budgetary support to implement these measures. His intentions are good but he need to manage expectations. The chinese alone cant fund SA infrastructure and social needs and still he need to avoid a debt crises while keeping investors happy. For all kinds of reasons cuba is not the model for SA. It is a one party state. Yes they have done well with education and healthcare but there are lots of criticisms to be made about Cuba. Malema should spend more time understanding the history of state control across the world including europe etc.
