Thank you so much Adam & Steven for creating these Intune videos. I'm new to Intune and this helps a lot in starting. More powers! :)

3 years ago Intune was dropped in my lap while I was working at a school district. Your channel has been a great source for learning and information about Intune. Happy that you’re doing a reboot. Keeps up the great work! MSP life now doing mainly everything Intune.

10:15 "Mobile Data Management". Wow, that's a powerful phrase. I hadn't thought about it that way despite it being essential the same thing as "Mobile Device Management", but it makes you question _why_ you're protecting those devices. It's not becuase you care about the pricetag, you care about the data on that device.

Thanks for this. I've been doing Config Manager for desktops and WS1 for smartphone management for six years now. We are just starting to migrate our MDM solution to Intune and I'm looking foward to using it for desktops as well.

I have been responsible for developing, implementing and supporting PCs for over 20 years across a long list of verticals. I remember having to document and script in various ways all types of configurations, updates and changes over the years. I absolutely love and enjoy your show. I am currently an End User Manager responsible for migrating an old and large company to Windows 10/11 and getting us off of AD and moving to AAD. Intune has been a huge help in this and I am far from done. Your show has been extremely helpful in learning and it is much appreciated. Thanks guys!

Big thank you! I discovered your channel about 4 years ago. I was working with MobileIron (Android and iOS only) and moved to another company(Android and iOS support only) where I have been told: we'll migrate to Intune. I started to watch your videos, but most of the ones already realeased were mostly on Windows. By the time you started showing the mobiles part, the migration began. Then the fun started. We had to fast fast track our knowledge and test test test. Now I am with another company planning to move to Intune. Again I have the feeling the videos won't keep our pace 😅 I still watched your videos when our interests converged. With this reboot, I would suggest: 1. Try adding more than it is on documentation. Some advices related to how it's working in backend. Just as example: how/when device dynamic groups are calculated (this popped in my mind now). 2. If you notice (or the community flags) some platform changes after you already released a video, maybe you can revisit the topic. It will give you more material and we'll be up to date. Of course you'll have to apply your own filters and prioritization. Anyways, thanks again! I will share your channel with all my colleagues. Cheers!

So glad you are doing the rebase now. The number of changes in Intune, Autopilot, endpoint, Entra is astonishing over the past 5 years, If like me you don't spend all day everyday in these tools, it can be hard to find relevant and recent resources on KZbin. Looking forward to this series. Bell notifications are on!

Hello guys! Great that you want to start from the beginning given all the changes. I have been an Intune support agent since August 21, fascinated with the product. It was like one year ago when I discovered your channel, very useful, mostly to understand with your repros and among them, all that has to do with Intune integration with third-party products, like Apple devices, iOS, Linux. Excited about this new beginning🎉

Hello, Firts, thank you to do a reboot, it very interesting for me. I'm coming from Configuration Manager and I have a chance to go on Intune, we will use co-management. I'm french, I'm an IT since 2003. I have already followed you first 7 episodes but this time, I would like to increase my knowledge, so again, thank you very much to offer this opportunity, cheers !

Not an Intune guy, although I also did clients when I worked at Microsoft in 07 to 2016. Transitioned into security during that time, but simply love your videos! To be honest, endpoint’s still have a special place in my heart. Looking forward to the next videos. Have fun!

Keen and following. I look after a school district and want to move from HAADJ to AADJ, especially that new devices are now deployed with W11 EDU Pro which will auto upgrade to W11EDU. But I still have limitations, older local CA / 802.1x, ability to auto-update app store, if loopback processing is a thing for Kiosk/shared devices. Looking forward to the clean slate implementation knowing it wont fully apply in my situation.

Tech constantly changes, that’s no secret, but Microsoft has been changing so much these past few months. They even refreshed some Azure certs in like the past 3 months for the current cert, as well as Azure in general. Microsoft are too erratic, so don’t even blame you if this is already out of date. Thanks for the foundations though! This content takes a lot of work

Hey team, looking forward to the reboot. You could almost do a second channel with videos on migrating from on prem to modern managed along with a series focusing on a clean start! I am working on migrating a 4000+ device organisation to modern managed but it will be staged like Adam was mentioning. Some advice on how to manage printing would be handy, say modern managed devices talking back to on prem MFPs scattered around a site. Other areas would be remote admin support and installing apps that might only be needed by 5 users and the business has deemed not worth the cost of getting repackaged for silent installs.

Hey guys, I am tasked to do the migration from hybrid to full cloud only. I’m wondering if there is a cutover / switchover that we need to do on the clients before we decom all our AD? Or I need to make sure all clients are converted to AADJ (is it EDJ now?) first before I fully decom the AD?

Awesome video! I have a question about Intune licensing. I have a client who has Business standard licensing and intune licensing for every user. Is an intune license necessary for every single user in order to manage their Windows PC? Or do I just need 1 Intune license to manage all the Windows PCs?
@IntuneTraining Жыл бұрын
You need a license per user unless you use shared device licensing which would require device licenses. No real way around the licenses though.

I spent several weeks testing some Intune stuff but eventually rolled out the 85 new laptops on the existing Win-10 on-prem infrastructure (we did use a new disk image). Since the file server (including rights management) and the print server will not be gone (the former replaced by OneDrive/SharePoint/Teams/...) before we want to move to Intune: what pieces will move first and what can wait? Can I start to do device management in Intune using the existing images (so only move machine-GPO's?) and leave user management untouched for now (and keep user-GPO's)? Or do I need to prepare new images and also move user management to cloud-only?
@IntuneTraining Жыл бұрын
It’s up to you really. Given your current state, I would start with getting policies for users and devices cleaned up and moved into Intune. Start with MS baselines (not the ones on Intune, just the baseline XL document they provide) and build from there. The work on moving Apps, AV, BitLocker, etc. the only requirement is that your user and device accounts are syncd to the cloud. As for the on-prem stuff, there’s no reason your cloud native devices can’t talk to your on-prem resources. So you should be able to move to Autopilot AADJ provisioning at least as a pilot once you get your policies built out.

Question for whoever can help: Is enrolling instances of Windows Server into Microsoft Intune still not a supported configuration today in June 2024? Sure, an instance of Windows Server can be onboarded into Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and have policies applied for firewall/antivirus/EDR/ASR... but is app management still far away?

Steve - Since you work at Microsoft. What is your opinion on the really bad support Microsoft provides for enterprise admins? We pay 50k+ a month for 365 services and I feel every time I submit a ticket it takes days to even get a response and its lack luster at most.. I am not alone on feeling this. It feels like I bought windows 98 home edition at office depot and trying to get support on it.
