Can I just say if it hasn’t already been said... in your billing section it says you get p1 with either M365 e3 or office e3 and p2 with m365 e5 or office e5. You don’t actually get these with the office e3 or e5 versions as standard.... you do with the m365 plans as they comes with e3 & e5 security and mobility. If you buy the office plans to get this... you will be disappointed and needing to the premium license separate as an add on. I have Office 365 E5 and I have Azure AD Free standard. Otherwise guys, cracking series!

Do we need an License for every person/user that is going to have a device assigned to that Azure AD? As well as what would happen if a user gets an intune license assigned, gets his machines setup and running, and then the license is removed?

Great first video. Intune and Azure are my next logical steps in learning. After viewing this first video, it raised a question. Is Azure AD tenant a requirement to intune. Meaning, do I need to setup a Azure AD trial tenant first before setting up Intune trail tenant?

Whenever you sign up for Intune it will create the Azure AD instance but you can also start with Azure first. But you must have AAD for Intune to work.

Hi Adam & Steven, thank you very much for this training. I have a question, hope its not a silly one. I have two tenants, and on one I have AD P2 Premium license but on the other one which is for INTUNE Training do not have the AD P2. Can I not use the other tenant with AD P2 on ITUNE Training tenant?

No. You can’t combine tenants like that. You would need separate licensing for them.

The reason I added company branding was so if one of my users gets a phishing email trying to steal their Office 365 password it is most likely the phishers will redirect to a site with the generic Microsoft login page, rather than going to the trouble of replicating our branding. So my users will know immediately it isn't the right login page. This wouldn't apply to a targeted attack, but it gives some protection from random phishing attacks.

Does the Company Branding you discussed work with ADFS? Maybe in a future video you can discuss Azure AD Connect, ADFS, etc.?

In the video we only talked about the AAD company branding, we my look at AAD Connect in the future, but not likely ADFS to be completely honest.

I understand we get $200 credit with free azure account but that doesn't meet all criteria ( like premium AAD for testing Autopilot , Hybrid join etc ) I believe.

Your best option is to get an MSDN subscription (get your company to pay for it if you can). That's how we are doing it.

Yes you need to purchase a domain before beginning the steps detailed here. We purchased our domain name from Google domains, but you can use any domain reseller.

Q - Any reason as to why you dont manage you DNS through your Office 365 tenant? I know for test purpose its not idea as you might be creating more than one tenant for that domain but I'm talking for a live operating org. THANKS!

It all depends on your org's needs. In other tenants, I manage DNS in Office 365. I think that for the demo we just didn't attempt it or perhaps it wasn't available then.

You should be able to do most of it with the trial. The ATP stuff requires an E5 license so you can’t do it - ep 22 I think.

I dont really get what both of you were saying because of a combination of quality and accent. Could any help me out explaining it in plain text? The general points we are making involve all of the ways that your company can be exploited by "advertising" your domain, email address, logo, etc. There are easy ways for attackers to determine your domain name or find your company portal login. In this case, you can go to portal.azure.com or portal.office.com and type any [e-mail] and validate that the domain name exits since it will display the company branding for that site if you get the domain name right. Hope this helps.

All I want to do is get rid of Intune. Some idiot turned it on for our domain, we don't need it, and now we can't get rid of it. But apparently like a virus, there's no removal option.

When they migrated new email addresses from another domain to our main domain, they were asked some "setup questions" and answering yes to one of them turned InTune on, and it was forcing all our users to install it on their mobile devices if they want to continue using Teams. Fortunately, I found the answer to removing it, going to Azure active directory, Mobile MDM, and removing it. Also, just to be double sure, I went into every user and removed InTune from their list of licensed apps. It's like a virus, this InTune.

I'd dare say the real virus is having someone in your org with permissions high enough to configure modern management policies when they didn't know what they were doing or why they were doing it. -- Ben

@@IntuneTraining I agree with you but unfortunately it's the CEO, who thinks by googling a few articles online she's "qualified" to have full access to all of our IT tools and infrastructure and do whatever she wants with it whenever she feels like (further, without even documenting or letting anyone know what she did until there's an obvious problem) so there's no fix for that. All I can do is try to clean up the mess afterwards.

Sorry. It was our first video. Have you tried changing the video quality in KZbin to force it to higher res? Most of that is likely pretty old as well. Not sure how much has changed - the Intune portal definitely has. Spoiler, some episodes have bad audio but good video. Some have bad everything. Some are pretty decent. The quality fluctuates a bit then stabilized somewhere the end of Season 1. Hope you can manage to get enough info.
