Most of the freestyles are all about going as fast as possible but this was all about form and I feel like the slower momentum made it easier to see the depth of the tricks. I’m very impressed and saw a bunch of tricks that seem unique to me. A few things I’m going to try just because they looked so nice like the trick with his arm through the loop. I’ve seen similar tricks but haven’t seen it done just like that. Honestly surprised he only got 5th for this one. I think it was better than some of the other performances that ranked higher.

Always wondered if 1A seems easy for him versus tossing around two yo-yos not attached to the string in 4A. Although I suppose he scales up the difficulty for himself. Seems like it’d be so much less to focus on and go wrong with 1A.

Does he actually memorize the choreography or is it all improvised?
@henrychen18357 ай бұрын
These freestyles are seldom improvised. But if you watch a particular yoyoer over a long period of time you can definitely see pieces of their routines and start recognizing those pieces. Every year they improve on some tricks, make some changes, repeat the big popular ones. There's almost 10 years worth of Hajime on 3A, so you can see the evolution of his routines from 2014.
