Another nice flight Jonathan. I know you own a fleet of gliders, so what criteria do you use when you choose the RX-2?

Many factors including my strength and flexibility on the day I fly. Wind velocity. Estimated thermal diameter. Who if anyone I'll be flying with or against. Anything you can think of really. Think of planning a menu for an event.

So... what did you think of the glider?

I have over 200hrs on this glider and it's like 10years old or more. I've modified several things and really like it. Re-rigged with a WW Litestream control frame and moved bar aft to accommodate my short reach. Sewed pockets along the trailing edge in 4 places on each side and inserted 1/8" carbon rods to eliminate flutter. Shortened the haul-back by 60mm or so which makes the sail flatter and gives better twist distribution. It tracks and performs better too. I moved the hang point 1cm forward since it's trimming a bit slow. I hope to fly it Saturday and give it a better workout and have more gliders to compare to.
