The KZbin algorithm brought this to my attention. I am from Nashville TN but I fly at Lookout Mountain in Georgia, outside of Chattanooga TN. I am glad you are continuing to move the sport forward. I think interest in HG will bounce back in my lifetime. Good luck and I will be anticipating more from you :) . Oh, and I'm not interested in competition flying, just fun flying slow and floating around trying to thermal, with something that is easy to setup.

Hey Chad May'trix - I think floating around and catching thermals and ridge soaring is enough for me too ;-)

Tx for your developmental work on all of these SS gliders. Particularly like the idea of the larger 205 sail on a Falcon 195 airframe.

Excellent work Bill. I hope to test some soon. 👍

The Falcon #4 170 was the nicest glider I flew when it comes to handling. So much fun to fly. And you can "drift" it better when soaring (Malibu is a bit too stable). Now I wonder, could you make the Falcon improve performance just a little without loosing the amazing handling? Maybe increse the double sail just over the crossbar?

I agree, the F2 sail I fitted to a Falcon 170 frame is awesome. I made another 170 with some extended D/S and a vg, it is a tool. Still very nice handling with the vg on but it really improves the energy retention. Here is a video of that one kzbin.info/www/bejne/h3TSaJ19fdutZ7c

Excelent Idea. i m not an expert but i think it good to change position after a long flight

I love the work! But where I live (SoCal USA) we really need a few ocean ridge lift sites other than super busy Torrey Pines 90 miles south of me. I suspect (know) that is needed in many geographic areas. Places where people can easily see the flying, rather than the mountain sites where hang gliding is all but invisible to potential newbie pilots. Just my take as a HG/Sailplane/SEL pilot.

Yes, Newcastle NSW is excellent for exposure of the sport with a very active flying scene.

I've got a 25 hr Malibu 188 I bought last year - our Moyes agent's own, but immediately before a medical setback, so haven't flown it yet. No need for a new sail any time soon, though 🤨

Would adding a short vg cord be a good idea? For jumping gaps in the ridge or does it not work on floaters ?

It does on the Fun3 sail I have developed.kzbin.info/www/bejne/hma6lWqPrLudrdU

Hi, do you reckon it'd be feasible to fit one of your sails to a Finsterwalder Funfex frame?
@billpain4 ай бұрын
Looking at the frame specs it could be possible.
