needs an IFR flight plan
learned some lessons with this flight, was still not fully fit, so, not using checklists, missed one item
had the idea of flying a straight in ILS, ATC wanted a RNAV approach for the opposite direction
or an ILS with circle to land
then the RNAV approach was activated but the autopilot did not follow it and it became more unstable then a circle to land would have been
landing was not that good and braking made the plane swing so full power and back into the air and then circle to land and I think it was a light tail wind
with no tower available on a traffic/radio frequency it would have been easy for me to fly the ILS and land without ATC complaining
I will do it again, especially after checking on real world costs for Hamburg and the time it needs to be able to take off because of long taxi times and waiting times when other planes land. This alternate would be Uetersen for that trip, being some 45 minutes car drive from Hamburg but on the other hand no security controls that take time and very short taxi times and the complete flight only costing what the ground fees in Hamburg would be.
