One more comment on loss and not being able to say I love you to a loved one who has died. My father was an alcoholic who drank away the rent money but was a kindly soul. No one in the family ever said “I love you.” Growing up I was angry with my father for the stress he caused our family. He was in the hospital the night before a minor procedure, and I was able to tell him I loved him, and he just said,” I know.” He died. I’m forever grateful that I was able to get those words out and hear him say “I know.”

I had a friend I had a falling out with, and she was killed in a vehicular manslaughter while riding her bike before I could reach out and tell her I wasn't angry anymore. 😢 And to make matters worse, a few weeks later Doug Ford made it more difficult for Ontario cities to build bike lanes...

Snow…. Can also be beautiful in another way after having been touched… when the children are back inside their homes, but the snowmen they built remain as a silent witness to the joy that was shared making them. A sledding hill with its tracks… beckoning you to come take a final slide down the slippery slope, and standing as a memory for all of us who have played in the snow. Snow angels… impressions in the snow. No longer pristine, “used” snow still gives some happiness. 😃

Thank you for being here today, it’s been sad, it’s the second without my husband, he died in 2023. Our youngest son has been in prison for years, I had so hoped he would make parole this past September, he didn’t 😢. Please pray for him that he will stay safe and healthy in that terrible place till he is free again.

Rev. Ed showed up on my KZbin recommendations almost immediately after the election. Although I had a plan for dealing with my grief, the good reverend fits in with part of my plan, which includes having a large support system. I also feel like he has become something of a friend of mine. I have other friends but Ed is the most comfortable KZbinr to hang out with! And as I have added a few positive comments here and there, I hope I've helped others as well. People often talk about the ugliness and cruelty all over the internet, but we can make it beautiful and we need to. I realize that when I feel the need to be mean, I need to stop and take it to my loving higher power. I expect the next several years to be challenging, but we can help each other through them and grow in the mean time. Peace within = peace on earth. So take good care of yourself and others.

I DO think there are things to be restored. It’s a gift God gives, the restoration. He knew before he made us all the bad stuff we’d do, and good stuff we’d leave undone, and the mercy is like a hot bath after a hard day. Kind and restorative.

Hello Rev. Ed. I have been following your podcasts for some time, and I am strengthened. This is the first time I have watched this. You mentioned that you have Prayer beads to offer. Many years ago I came across some Anglican Prayer Beads. This was new to me. I found that doing the course on my own did not work well. Do you do groups on line?
