There are quite a few people making comments here that have ZERO CLUE about reality. But I'm sure Ed is reveling in glory with them? If you listen to him and blindly follow, you would think that Donald Trump Trump's Cabinet and leadership team is made up exclusively of "WASPs" Nothing could be further from thr truth! But put your faith and trust in people like "Reverend Ed." He and his ilk would NEVER steer you wrong!!!

It is Spiritually impossible to be like Jesus! And the Bible won't get you even close. Claiming to be Christian but not" refers to someone who identifies as a Christian publicly, but does not genuinely believe in or practice the core tenets of Christianity, essentially just using the label without aligning their actions or beliefs with Christian teachings; this can be considered a form of hypocrisy or a lack of deep religious commitment. Key points about this concept: Surface level identification: This person might attend church occasionally, say they are Christian in social situations, but not actively engage with their faith on a personal level. Discrepancy between words and actions: Their behavior might contradict Christian values, such as not demonstrating compassion, forgiveness, or ethical conduct expected of a believer.

“A threat to ‘their’ way…” - I would add, a threat to their power base. He was, in essence, telling his followers that priests were irrelevant as far as contacting God was concerned. They had access to God directly via his spirit fragment within. That would make the Pharisees unimportant people, and they loved being important people. They got the best seats at dinner. People deferred to them. And Jesus was firing them from their jobs. No-no-no… that won’t do at all!!!

For some reason, I pictured the big to-do during Paul's time in Ephesus with the silversmith (see Acts 16) who raised a hue and cry about the threat to their realm of power and influence over the people regarding the idols of that region and time. Kinda the same thing now, only the idols are more themselves than some statues of made-up characters.

The irony, likely not lost on Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter, is that only in that heaven John Lennon imagined not to exist will his dream of peace be fully realized. "In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." Let's be of good cheer as we struggle, suffer and sacrifice in Jesus' name, to His glory and honor, and out of His love for our entire human family.

CALIFORNIA has one of the largest economies in the WORLD!!! When there are hurricanes in Florida and South Carolina, it's money from CALIFORNIA that helps fund crisis programs. When there's train wrecks in Ohio or Virginia, CALIFORNIA is one of the main states that contributes much of the funding that goes to cleaning up their messes. When any RED STATE suffers from tax shortfalls, IT'S CALIFORNIA AND OTHER BLUE STATES THAT CONTRIBUTES TO THE STABILITY OF THEIR PROGRAMS!!! Besides being the LEAST CHRISTLIKE message EVER to come out of that godless bunch of Bible thumpers, it is immensely STUPID to bite the hand that feeds you.

But when we prefer to Jesus in modern times, we had to realize that there’s two there’s one that represents the teachings in the Bible and then there’s a republican dish of Jesus, which is opposite of everything, almost anti-everything that the Jesus of the Bible stands for I’m sure there’s a word for that being The Christ, but an anti-version of it

Most religious people wear their religion like a MARK that shows that they’re better than everyone else and I think there’s something in the Bible about people being forced to wear MARK in order to be part of society or killed or ostracized because they don’t take up on themselves this MARK

Rev. Ed, I think that Jesus wouldn't mind if I packed a few things, get into my Chrysler VH Valiant Charger from Australia, hitch a Happier Camper, and head as eastbound till I'm back in the Maritimes for a twofold purpose, one to stay in Metro Charlottetown until that farce of an "inauguration" is nothing more than a bad memory easily forgotten, (thanks, Clive Cussler and Tim Richmond!) then and at a pleasant time when it's warmer in spring, I'll wheel by Halifax, and drop off a copy of INITIAL D along with A LONELY MAN'S CHRISTMAS NO MORE to give you like I promised... At this stage of the game, I don't know if I want to return to the States right now. That being said, I wonder if Jesus or Buddha would be placed in a position to do the SAME thing.

Trump is the new god of the right wing. You have to understand just teasing people say that the teachings of their Bible are far too woke for modern day therefore they don’t follow it. They were the moniker of the religion as a badge of superiority of other people, where they sit in constant judgment, and demonize people who aren’t part of the evangelical religion

"God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him." 1 John 4:16. Life happens. How we respond is contingent upon our relationship with a God of our understanding. Instead of posting silly memes, perhaps a more productive response might be to roll up your sleeves, get your hands dirty and see where you can help.

Wow! Have you been living on another planet for the last two decades or what? It was *20 years ago* that Dr. Raymond N. Rogers, a scientist at Los Alamos National Scientific Laboratories in New Mexico proved that the carbon testing was done in error as the sample taken was from non-original part of the Shroud. You have not studied anything at all about the Shroud, have you? How the fabric, the pollen and dirt on it at date to Biblical days of Jerusalem? They have _proven_ was that it contained a body that was beaten like Jesus was, scourged like Jesus was, was crucified *wearing a crown (more of a cap) of thorns.* What kind of moron is going to believe that this was somebody _other_ than our Lord Jesus? I guess that keeping up with modern times does not mean anything to you. Pretty obvious.

I don't belong to any church, and I don't hold traditional religious beliefs. What I believe Jesus wants from us is to treat each other with the love and respect we would like to receive ourselves, help others whenever we can, and try to hurt no one. That would go so far toward making this a better world. But so many so-called "Christians" apparently think there's something wrong with that.

Years ago, I worked for one of the too textile curators. part of the shoud of Turin was repaired skillfuly with similar but diffent thread in repairs that were done much later. There has been some limited and controlled science on this piece, but I think the wrong experts were involved. Its just an interesting artifact to me because of all the questions and late date. We crave mysticism and mystery in our beliefs but we are not living in the middle ages and should not be as easily fooled in order to reinforce any beliefs. Thank you for mentioning the purpose of sacred relicts in an earlier time as a rather dishonest and lucrative way to reinforce the beliefs of people. From that standpoint the shroud is most likely an interesting bit of religious history.

I'm just going to keep doing the next right thing. I'm going to keep loving the people that others throw away. I'll keep feeding people. I'll keep giving people a safe place to recoup or just sit in peace for a moment. I am used to being an outcast. I was always the one picked on in school. An outlier as an adult. The one who never fit in. So why not be an outcast for the right reasons? God's love is for anyone who needs or wants it. I aim to be that love. I'm working on loving the ones who aren't kind and merciful. Forgiveness is an awesome gift. And I love taking naps on boats.❤ All naps are good, but naps on boats are top-tier in my book.😊

God doesn't help anyone. I prayed to Jesus Christ for help and I got nothing. I need real help. I had to give up on God and become an athiest. I've accepted that God is dead and doesn't care. I've accepted that God does not help anyone that needs serious help. Because if there was a God he would not care. So I've stopped my false beliefs and accepted reality. I feel better now. As I realize no help is coming from a non-existent God or Jesus Christ. It was all a scam. I respect your delusion and I won't bothere you anymore. Best wishes.

Imagine a world where certain "devout Christians" would say that Trump is a better example of a Christian life than Jimmy Carter.... I'd love to say I can't imagine that world... (Have to admit, Imagine isn't one of my favorite songs. I think it is too idealistic. I think without religion and politics, people will still fight and have wars. I think it's in our nature But I see absolutely nothing wrong with playing that song in a church for a funeral if the person loved that song.)
