Are these going to be more illogical productions like Falstaff living in a clapped out camping trailer, visually that production was just so bad. Der fliegende Holländer, a toy sailing boat on Roundhay Park Lake? Zauberflöte in the Trinity Kitchen?

There is nothing worse than a British opera snob. I would remind you that although you may consider opera to be a high art form, they were originally written to be entertainment. May I suggest you go see opera in a provincial town in Italy. Then you see its an entertainment, something to go.out for the night to enjoy and not to sit and seek the perfect performance. Having seen you other comments on here it's clear you don't go to opera to be entertained. An opera snob who thinks too. much BTW Falstaff was fun, funny and accessible which is exactly what opera should be
