Just got the Heavy Metal two-tone Platinum, what an awesome car. 45 mpg's on the highway.
@anthonym7565 күн бұрын
You are lying! HOWWWWW, I get at best 34 MPG. Do you keep an eye on your start stop and coasting score?
@gleanerman21955 күн бұрын
@@anthonym756 That's right, 45 on highway going 63 mph on economy mode, that's in the mississippi dealta, flat ground. And I'm NOT lying. If I do city only it's around 30 mpg.

I really like this Car, both exterior and Interior. To me, it's worth an extra $7K to have a little more luxury, and I really like the 4" higher sitting position. The lower end Crown Models give plenty of luxury for most buyers, and there not that many other sedan options available at the $41K price point. However, the Platinum model probably is a little too expensive for any Toyota model. For $53K+ most people will most likely look at the Lexus brand.

There are a few differences with the 2025. Having a HUD on the 2025 is the main difference for me.

I bought the 2025 Toyota Crown Platinum Bronze Age Color I am trying to set my driver side mirror to return to my preferred setting, yet it looks down. I have to reset it each time. Back window is small, and low to the rear console. I needed to buy a long handled device to clean the rear windows. I absolutely driving my 2025 Crown Platinum. Great video!

Not a big heads up display guy, and I’ve seen a lot go wrong with electric tail gates and trunks. I like the 2024. But that’s just me. Great review

Would you need a better insurance to cover this kind of car? I have a Toyota Camry and I’m thinking of getting the Crown next.
@OpticalAutomotive4 ай бұрын
Coverage level is usually discretionary from person to person. You kind of have to decide for yourself how much risk you want to assume. Replacing your car with a new one will likely change the price regardless, but I don’t think there’d be a huge difference in coverage cost between a new Camry or a new Crown. Maybe just minimally

Mine insurance went up around $200 a year
@fundsapache68163 ай бұрын
Yes, your insurance will go up. In my case the better mileage more than paid for it. Vehicle registration went up $100. (Gotta get that tax). Fuel use went from 50 gallons to 18 gallons per month. (Full disclosure was driving a truck.)

40k for a car that seems smaller then a Camry seems outrageous

There are no differences between 2024 vs 2025 but the price??? What????

Well, the Charger is coming back soon, so this won't be the only full size sedan for long...
@OpticalAutomotiveАй бұрын
True, but I believe the new Charger will be EV only.
@matthewkaiohall7264Ай бұрын
@@OpticalAutomotive For now, but the Charger will also have the Jeep Wagoneer's Hurricane engine (a turbo straight-six) later on.

This is not the sedan version. What’s with the misleading title???
@OpticalAutomotive2 ай бұрын
How exactly is this not a sedan? And here in the US this is the only version of the Toyota Crown we have so what "version" are you talking about?
@matthewkaiohall7264Ай бұрын
@@OpticalAutomotive This person is probably talking about the other Crown sedan in Japan, which looks like a Mirai. But even then, calling this car the "Crown Crossover" as it's known in Japan is false. The vehicle that would be most like this Crown, believe it or not, is NOT the Legacy SUS or the AMC Eagle, but the 2010 Ford Taurus. That had a sedan body, but it stood like an SUV.
