Nice video. I'm 75, and this is very high on my list for the next, and probably last vehicle that we'll purchase for our last car.

Great vehicle to be considering! I really enjoyed my week with this, and would love to see what the Platinum feels like by comparison.

The crowns going to look old when you're driving it 20 years from now

@vivaladavid550 I wouldn't care in the least if it looked old 20 years from now, if it was still getting me Where I needed to go. 😁

Good review my USA 🇺🇸 Crown is a XLE 41,500 cost. Gas mileage is higher than rated by 4 miles per gallon. Hooray hooray. 4 months of driving it. No complaints came from a Cadillac. 😊😊

Glad to hear it! I really enjoyed my time in this Crown, hoping to get a Platinum later in 2025.

I have to say this vehicle is really intriguing, I am considering this over a Camry or Prius

I was pretty impressed by it, I'd definitely consider one if I were in the market for a new car.

I have 40K miles on my crown. All I’ve done is change the oil and now changing the OEM tires
@PRNTestDriveАй бұрын
I'd hope that's all you'd need to do so far on a new car.

maybe toyota could had stretched a little more the wheelbase because looks kind of short for the car length, maybe for decrease turning radius since it's mostly a japanese market product? btw, a large modern sedan it's always appreciated
@PRNTestDrive2 ай бұрын
This is an interesting one, as they do make a real 'sedan' for this, ours is the 'crossover'. The true sedan has a longer wheelbase at 118.1 in which is only an inch shorter than my SWB S-Class. It also seems to have a more traditional sedan silhouette, so the rear headroom might be usable on it. It appears to be a Japanese & Chinese market exclusive. I'd love to try one of them out.

4:40 and that's the reason fastbacks work best on coupes, and for it work on the Crown, as you say, you basically have to treat it like the seats in a coupe: occasional, short-term use and/or for shorter humans
@PRNTestDrive2 ай бұрын
Agreed! I mentioned it in the video but I picture this as the perfect car for my grandparents if they were still around. They'd pick me up in their 90s Camry or 90s Subaru Outback as a kid, and this Crown feels like what they'd have had it all happened today instead of 30 years ago.

That scooped out ceiling for your head behind the panoramic sunroof in the rear seats is kinda ridiculous and would make me feel a lil claustrophobic, otherwise I think it's a pretty nice car.
@PRNTestDrive2 ай бұрын
That's how I felt too. It's definitely not designed for tall people to be back there. My daughter was fine back there, and I expect most regular sized people will be good enough.

They have to make it a sportback. They would sell double the amount.
@PRNTestDriveАй бұрын
Both the 'Sport' and 'Sedan' have a sportback style, which I think would sell well in the North American market. Those seem to only be available in Japan and China unfortunately.

It's so sad... the Japan version has rear seats worthy of the Price and Crown name (heated & vented rear seats, power shade, climate, grab handles, etc). I is almost Lexus GS+ level of quality.
@PRNTestDriveАй бұрын
That is true, but I understand why Toyota has to strip back some features in order to keep the price affordable enough without eating into Lexus' sales. It's already a niche vehicle with a small market in Canada for it, so there's a fine line between what they can add in terms of features and price and what people are willing to spend on it.
