This team finally has some actual leadership. That has been missing since Sab left. None of the “fab five” were natural leaders. None of the players who came after were either. Peyton Scott would have been had she not been hurt 5 minutes into the season last year, and the season would have been very different if she hadn’t. One can only lead so much from the bench, even if you are older and more experienced. This team also has diverse weapons defensively. The offense will come. The fact that the D is so solid this early is very encouraging.
