Все гвардейцы находятся на посту, согласно, к примеру, нашего Устава караульной службы никто кроме строго очерченных лиц не может зайти за границу поста и оказаться на охраняемой постовым территории. Против нарушителей постовой и караул вправе применять оружие... Надо понииать серьезность выполняемых постовым и караулом задач, осознавать последствия и самое главное - уважать тех, кто находится на посту и служит в армии и флоте!

I fully support the Royal Guards in all they do to maintain security and decorum in their duties. If someone tried to touch or get in the way of a United States Secret Service agent they would seriously regret their actions. These Royal Gurds have a job to do. I went to see the Royal Guard. I was overseas in the Middle East and met quite a few British soldiers. A lot I gained a massive amount of respect for. When I finally went to see Buckingham Palace (they all said my uncultured American ass needed to go see it) I was lucky enough to see the guard and see them walk in their column. The amount of respect these guys deserve is immeasurable. I hopped right out of the way and without even thinking just hopped right into standing at attention until they passed. I might be an "Uncultured Yank" lovingly told to me by the good ole Brits, but even I saw these men and they gained my respect.
