As an American even I have always admired the British Royal Guard for their discipline and service. I truly respect the idea of on-duty soldiers protecting a very traditional role and place. Even compared to the sentries at the Tomb of The Unknown Soldier, those guards have to protect several buildings, not just a tomb.

Those horses are F A R smarter than the stubborn, stupid fools that get in the way of the guards or act childishly and irresponsibly, lacking respect and recognition. Thinking it's all fun and amusement, ignoring the warning sign and the lines painted to restrict access (but they just don't listen, they don't obey the rules). Tourists AND locals alike. 😠 What a difference / example displayed by the little boys at the end (6:31) dressed up in mini uniform and saluting the real, actual guards! And that one guard who kindly corresponds with the child and his mother, allowing them to take a picture with mutual respect and admiration.

Какие-то неадекватные люди! Есть такое понятие - граница поста. Все гвардейцы находятся на посту, согласно, к примеру, нашего Устава караульной службы никто кроме строго очерченных лиц не может зайти за границу поста и оказаться на охраняемой постовым территории. Против нарушителей постовой и караул вправе применять оружие... Надо понииать серьезность выполняемых постовым и караулом задач, осознавать последствия и самое главное - уважать тех, кто находится на посту и служит в армии и флоте!

Royal Guards are suppose to keep a straight face or they are immediately fired. They train for this type of stuff for years, and a smile or laugh while on the job could get them fired or worse.

@@StefanCreates wdym not true? The guards are professional soldiers on duty, and like soldiers in any army they do not smile or laugh on duty. They are armed, so will defend the Monarch or defuse a dangerous situation if and when necessary.. The guard might get in trouble for not following the rules. Smiling as a royal guard does not mean immediate termination or fine. However, if it happens too many times, you could potentially get terminated from your position.

The Queens gaurd spend long hours training for their positions and then spend even more hours standing at attention and all their other duties they must preform to a T! They should be highly respected! Not irritated and annoyed by people who haven’t got a clue as to how stressful and hard their jobs really are! Be respectful to these brave, loyal, and hard working soldiers. I truly admire what they do and how they do it. OUTSTANDING!!
