As a dons supporter I'm happy with what Rosa did in this draft. Im stoked on who they picked up including Kako, Clarke and even a steal in Archer Day-Wicks. Personally I disagree with ur call bout its silly ti trade away pick 9, I personally reckon it was a good idea for numerous of reasons but mainly its so Essendon can properly secure Kako and also just build some draft capital. Really happy with this draft and also really good video mate, hopefully your well 🔥💪🏽

Cardy absolutely hates Bombers. He wouldn't admit if we did a good job anyway. Great draft and trading away pick 9 was a sensible decision, something we haven't done in years.

As a Richmond supporter, I am satisfied with the draft selections that we have made. Even though it will take a fair while for the tigers to rise back up the ladder, hopefully this will help to give our younger players more game time and to strengthen our midfield and forward line in the future as it has been our major weaknesses.

Fair enough, it probably won’t be too much of a problem considering they’ll get the dees first round pick next year and it could well be better than pick 9

I genuinely don't get why people are saying the dons blundered the draft. Firstly there was no incentive for other teams to bid early as our pick was already gone, so likely if we held onto #9, melbourne or saints would have bid earlier. Secondly, if that didn't happen and we took a player with our original pick and then matched Kako, we would have gone into deficit for next year as we didn't have the points to match for it. Such a weird take on everyone's part and shows that a lot of people have no fucking idea what they are talking about.

Kako was a pick 5ish to pick 15ish prospect. Most likely 6-11. Essendon traded out pick 9 for future 1st from the Dees plus a bunch of picks which add up to points for Kako. How do people not understand it's a win win for both Essendon and Melbourne?

Yeah fair enough if Melbourne don’t go great next year it ultimately doesn’t matter since they’ll still receive a high pick in 2025. But they could’ve instead had the chance to take 2 high draft picks in this years draft

Was also the only way to get the necessary points for the NGA selection of Kako. You don’t use a high first rounder for your own NGA player. Nothing wrong with that I reckon. Although, the future Dees’ first rounder might be a 20ish pick, depending on the Melbourne rebound (which I believe will happen) and how much the future draft will be compromised.
