"purely emotional", I drove the Giulia and the Stelvio within the first year they were out. I have since trained my brain to dislike them, because I am so utterly opposed to buying a vehcle with such HIGH expectations of unreliability. I am impressed that there are fans of the vehicle and, honestly, I am jealous of their ability to appreciate them. The drive never rose to the level of a GS350 in my opinion, and it lacked a sophistication of function that I crave. I drove them because they are beautiful, but I not never got the emotional "high" that has occurred with the fans of the vehicles. The beauty was just not enough for me, and the drive did not compensate for my horror of excessive maintenance. I do admire Kevin describing with absolute honesty that this is not a vehicle to keep beyond warranty. But I watched the video to look at them, and had some insane wild hope that the review was going to be different, that the unreliability had been designed out, and that the vehicles were now going to be good for the long term. Just magical thinking on my part.

Trading in my 22 Stelvio Quadrifoglio for a Giulia Quadrifoglio as soon as I heard the news Thursday that Stellantis is discontinuing them, sad news, I need more funds to keep both 😅.

Btw, all your points in this video are spot on. Quality dealer is absolutely needed! Interior is functional, but too bland, some parts straight up feel cheap. The driving dynamics make up for everything. Interestingly in Canada, Quadrifoglio models have 73%ish residual on 3 year lease which make them hilariously affordable, monthly payment is equivalent to a BMW X2 M35i. Macan GTS is about 60-65% more expensive. I have no idea how how these manufacturers pull these residual numbers. Lexus the other day told me they have 47% residual, I immediately walked out...

Isn't that the insane 200k Cayenne 😅 Problem with Porsche is it feels too robotic and too "perfect" so it lacks some fun. That's not to take away from the capabilities of a Porsche product but as a flesh and blood human, I found no connection to the Macan/Cayenne SUVs. This Stelvio blends the capability of Porsche with real feedback and some emotion so I prefer it for that reason but this is a crappy Stellantis vehicle with trash resale...this is a pure emotional purchase.
