Great video! Looking forward to the next iteration of your mobil radio communications center. Congratulations on achieving 200K miles on the VW.

Thanks for visiting! My new micro-tower is on the car as of today. I'll get the mast and Yagis up tomorrow or Tuesday, then drive the new setup to HamCation.

Great video! If you are planning a similar excursion for the 2025 contest, let me know, would love to team rove with you/yall! I'm trying to get back into contesting/portable ops.

Man how did I miss you? I live in Stephens City, VA. Looks like you would have been an easy station to work for me. I’m looking forward to roving this June. I need to build out a racking system for my antennas. I have a truck so may build it out. Thanks for the circling idea. That is genius.

I hope I'm able to work you at some point. I'll be out of the area in June and September. I've done the past two CQ WW VHF contests in July. Participation is low, but it's a good practice session. I also like the VAQP and will try NCQP for the first time soon. 73!

I like the trailer setup. Have been thinking of trying something similar. Have fun! Dan N0SPN/Rover!

Thanks for visiting! See the video just before this one about me retiring the tower trailer. My new micro-tower is on the car as of today. I'll get the mast and Yagis up tomorrow or Tuesday, then drive the new setup to HamCation.

6m opening on Sunday out west made a big difference that weekend.

Nice! I didn't notice any band openings. Odd side note: I bought a used Core i5-6300 to replace the cheap Celeron computer that I've used for 2-3 years. Either the default microphone inputs are set higher or the bands are more active on FT8 than I've ever seen! FT8 has come alive with a very active waterfall and feed. I wonder if I might have made more 6m FT8 contacts with this computer setup. HAHA! Thanks for visiting!
