My goodness! It has been roughly _twenty years_ since the Audi S4 had the N/A 4.2L V8. What is truly ironic is the power output of the 4.2L V8 [~340HP] versus the current 2024 Audi S4 rated at 349HP. I still prefer a V8+ whenever they are available but I digress. Nevertheless, I remember my first foray into the Audi S/RS realm. It was behind the wheel of an old B5 era Audi S4. Coincidentally it was only the second-ish AWD car I had driven. Prior to that was the ubiquitous EVO and STI's from back in the day. It certainly has been a _long_ time since those early B5 years. Stay classy my friends.

The S4 is always a solid choice, but for $67k, the M340i (albeit very cliche at this point) is hands down the best deal for the money.
