Everybody is so into this BFS stuff now. I have had a JDM Shimano Scorpion BFS for three years. It is a fine reel that is as smooth today as it was when it was new.

I really appreciate your comparison video. It gives a great pro and cons for each reel. I think the content will improve drastically if you can cover the basic specs (ex frame material, spool size, quick summary of brake system) for each reel also.

I got that ATD after watching your review. Definitely a good reel to get a taste of bfs especially since I stuck a 5lber my first time out. Moved on to a scorpion bfs which is much smoother and stuck an almost 6 my first time out. Crazy

Trying to decide between Comorant, Abu Zenon and Abu Revo Alc BF7. Im from Hong Kong but i shop from China that these are roughly the same price (sub $180) and the ALC BF7 being the cheapest at $150.

if you are trying to cast 2 grams and under get the Cormorant. If you only cast heavier weights get the Revo ALC

Just started being interested in bfs and your channel has been extremely helpful. I have a couple of questions: 1) When will you do the 22 Aldebaran vs Arise Elite testing? 2) Do you plan to order and test the Arise Air Ultra? 3) I was having a little difficulty finding the information I wanted on the Arise on their website. How does the Ultra compare with the Air and Elite? and what is its purpose (I realize that it is considerably more expensive at $197 (I think)?

I wasn't impressed at all with my Gekkabijin at all; even with braid, I was disappointed with it's casting distance. I actually like my 20' Alphas air TW better.
