Got one at my local kroger store today for $204 out the door! @rebeccatyler5596 This is a bottle that I'll probably never see in my life, so I like to live through youtubers like SLB and others that get a chance to try it. That being said, without throwing anyone under the bus, I've heard it called hollow and unpleasant. While not necessarily a bad review, Breaking Bourbon said it "struggles to back up it's increased cost." To me, that's not something you want to hear when it requires shelling out a couple hundred bucks SRP if you're lucky or over $1,000 at online stores. I was just surprised to see Kurt and Trent so blown away by it while others just shrugged their shoulders and said, "Yeah... its good...but..." This is just my opinion and I'm only one person but when people struggle to justify buying it at that price tag I consider it, for me, a negative review. That being said, everyone's different so if you like it, cheers.

Purple top B Day you referenced was the 2019 bottle that was 11yrs and 105 proof. Fantastic bottle and my favorite since 2013.

Thanks for all your videos, very entertaining. Would love to see you find the best breathing time in the glass. I was thinking try low (80-95, mid (96-115) or high (+116) proof poured and let rest for certain time (I.e, no rest, 5min, 15min, 30min, etc). Then do a blind taste test. If you are really brave, taste test one left in the glass for +8hours. Keep up the good work.

Very interesting review. Just last night I watched a review on another channel and they absolutely hated this bourbon. It came in last in their four bourbon blind. Cardboard and ashtray were two of the tasting notes. 🤔

Them upping the proof probably cost them a good amount of bottles to sell but if the product is worth drinking instead of just re-selling for the market profit, maybe this will divert them in this direction moving forward. A cask strength straight from the barrel birthday bourbon would be insane.

Used to enjoy the channel more when y’all reviewed low to mid priced bourbons. I either can’t find, and wouldn’t pay $100 plus for liquor. I get the whole supply and demand thing, but I can find plenty of good and great tasting bourbons (to drink neat and in an old fashioned) in the $20-60 range.
