I read on ArsTechnica that this new BMW runs OS8.5. Let's hope it is better than the really buggy OS8 running on the i4 and all other cars, including the 3, that have it. It is so bad, that I cannot run Android Auto or CarPlay as the reported GPS position from the car to the device (yes, CarPlay gets the GPS position from the car, not the phone) is off by miles. Even on the myBMW app, it shows the car in another location altogether. While the in-car BMW maps app shows the car where it is supposed to be.

Literally just what I said to my wife. We hate silver cars and I looked at the i5 in silver and was like ugh I thought I liked this car but I don't. Then I saw this red and was like I think its that crappy silver color.

I dont like the red stripe on the steering wheel. The first time I saw it on aftermarket steering wheels, I thought it was ok.. but now I think it just bothers me.

yup, this was always going to happen. a top spec i4 is already over 5000lbs and a top spec iX is 5700lbs.

So 65K for the base version is a little salty given its performance. Not to mention the under the hood square feet of unredeemed storage for pedestrian use. Even if not for storage they could have spared some length for the cabin comfort but instead there is gobs of waisted space for the profile look.🫤 7:10
