what i love the most about this bike is its 13k AUD cheaper then a road king and its far more reliable and just a phenomenal ride overall kinda wish they had the pin stripes on the roctane but oh well looking for a video where they have the beach bars on the roctane aswell

9:47 floorboard scrape and it was not a tight left bend. No thanks. A novelty machine, and granted it’s an extremely well built one that oozes quality….but you’d soon tire of it. Probably why so many end up on the second hand market with low mileage. Depreciation is savage over the first few years. 🔥🥴

Same lean angle as the road king, while the B and transcontinental have better lean angles than the road king and street glide 🤷

It has on both sides 31 Degrees Lean Angles… quite industry standard. And the suspension can be adjusted also for more aggressive leaning

@@mcgoo721I give little weight to manufacturer claims about lean angles as all bike manufacturers calculate lean angles in perfect world conditions i.e. perfectly flat surface, no suspension compression and best position on the riding frame to take the measure. Manufacturer claims about lean angles is a guide only. The lean angles in the real world include consideration of bike speed, suspension compression due to undulations on the road surface, bike weight and rider weight. This is a long bike wheel to wheel and all the more reason to experience scraping of the boards. One has to actually ride it to make the assessment and clearly this bike has to be ridden extremely gently to avoid scraping.

I'd seriously consider this over a Harley Road King Special. Its cheaper and has a finer engine.

The big issue with the R18 is the leg room. If you have longer legs the knee angle is way to acute and you can't mount forward controls because the cylinders are in the way.

test rode this 4 Sept 2024 front brake very weak, no feel from the lever, and it was nearly touching the handle bar !!! rear brake very difficult to apply pressure, downwards with floorboards fitted. the speedometer was built into the headlight, nice feature but its too flat, and difficult to see (its not pointed at the rider, its pointed at the sky) at 80 to 90 speed, the wind was very turbulent, and plenty of wind noise (same the crash helmet on the HD Sport Glide and similar speed, very quite and clean air, not turbulent) suspension was very hard at the rear, and not forgiving at all. NOT recommended by me!!
