Rtv isn’t a problem with newer cars as of recent, oil pan problems still persist, but only for extreme track uses tbh

The RTV isn't the issue, it needs higher weight oil + a baffle and/or a Accusump to fix it completely.

Its not that big of a deal as people make it seem. so far I believe only 4 engines have blown up but there is not much detail on what oil they used, what track, either with no baffle or baffle. There is literally a company TIRERACK who bought 3 maybe 4 BRZ's to use as track cars and test new wheels. They havent had any issues with them. RTV is just a one time drop the pan and clean it. the oil pressure... is scary really but again only 4 blown engines.. out of how many sold brz/gr86's?

Subaru if you show an advertisement about a BRZ on the track you should warranty the engines that are blowing up 💥 on track as well. Stop denying warranties of customers that track their car. Support your product or stop advertising track use and also remove the track function in the car.

Probably. I installed a performance oil pan/pickup/baffle combo from Killer Bee on my 2003 WRX to get rid of that potential catastrophe.

lets be real here, this is likely going to be an only car for many people. Most of them probably wont put on 200tr semi slicks or have the balls/skill to even send it that hard on track days to recreate those conditions. Most are probably just going to show up with some summer tires, and upgraded pads just to have fun; not go balls to the walls to risk crashing their only car.

im 17 from israel got my driving license, soon after that i rented 2023 brz (not st) on track its just like assetto corsa its just so easy to drive, fun and responsive not to mention the incredible handling the guy that i rented it from was impressed that i could control it so well if i could buy it this would be my first car if you have a racing sim and dont have a driver license yet i highly recommend you try BRZ 2022 mod for assetto corsa it literally teached me the basics of racing

Hold on to it forever bro. Take care of that engine and it’ll run to 300km+ Solid track ready sports car from back before car prices went crazy. I’m glad I got my 23 BRZ new. Less than 6 months later, CIVIC SIs and Hatchbacks are 5 and 7k more respectively than my sports car… 7k more for a FWD economy car BEFORE dealer markup and fees. Unfucking real. I’m keeping my BRZ for years, I love it. You should definitely do the same. You have one of the best specs/packages ever released at a price that doesn’t bankrupt small nations

If anyone is spending 30k+ for a sports car they should have to “drop the oil pan” to fix the RTV issue nor buy baffles for the oil pan of what’s advertised as sports car…. This is it. In Japan it's called the STi Sport, but in North America they have to brand it "tS" because Subaru knows idiots in the US expect an "STi" to have a turbo and this will never get one because it's not that kind of car.

Subaru should give us at least the option to purchase a Super Sport Outback. Don't get me wrong. I like the WRX and the BRZ. They just need to give us the option in a WRX Outback, not a Levorg, an Outback.

I don’t think the 6 or 7lbs added to the engine bay would throw off the weight of the chassis to the point where it would affect cornering. I think if you’re gonna make an argument, heat management, reliability, and the Toyota 86 spirit are good. But for the special Subaru performance version with a bunch of STi engineering? I think it should’ve had the FA24 turbo. You can absolutely have a car with a peppy turbo in a car that’s meant for cornering. Turbocharger does not equal straight line speed only.
