That reward button on the overhead console is part of the security system - if you leave a pet ( or older child ) in the car when you leave, you'd have to push that button to turn off the interior motion sensor if you were going to set the alarm by locking it or the alarm would go off with the movement inside of the vehicle. I also think that the black rectangle at the bottom of the front bumper is for the night vision system.
