Unless you solely charge at home, I think the only weak spot of the Lyriq is how well your state is equipped with EVgo chargers. Here in NY, they are FAR and FEW between. There are more "coming soon" but I have to wait 2 or 3 months before I can have access to the new ones closer to home. Other than that, the car is great, but there's always software gremlins that pop up and this car absolutely can be BRICKED by a minor fault.

I spoke to a few NYs with Lyrics and they love them. It’s Cadillacs first EV so of course it’s going to have a few software issues. Overall its a great car.

1:26 No one remarks on that blank button. That SHOULD BE a DRIVE MODE selector. Acura and Honda have it. I expected to have it too.

Cadillac has one too many trims of this car. The base trim "Tech" lacks the ventilated/massage seats, supercruise, big rims and a bunch of other little features, but that main car is still in tact. You still get the widescreen display, glass roof, and most of the exterior cues. The Luxury 3 has everything omitted in the tech trim. I see no reason for the 2. This car should come as Base, Sport and Luxury and the options should simply be the 22" wheels, 19KW charger and powered moonroof. I see no reason to have 3 trim levels of sport and 3 of luxury.

Just took possession of a Lyriq Sport 3. I also own a Mach E. Despite both being mid sized SUVs they are very different cars. The Cadillac has a much more refined ride and luxurious interior, the Ford is much sportier in it's handling and doesn't feel so heavy. One the whole the Ford has a better UI on the software. The STUPIDEST thing on the Cadillac is the inability to turn off the fake engine noise like you can on the Ford.

The fake engine noise, as far as I know, is required by law. In 2022, EV's traveling less than 18.6mph require to emit a cabin noise to let the driver know the vehicle is on.

@@thanhhuynh175 Two different noises. The ethereal spaceship sound at low speeds is indeed required by law. In addition, GM pipes in a fake engine noise when accelerating rapidly, and unlike other manufacturers, that cannot be turned off on the lyriq.
