yep its garbage. I reminisce so much about 2010-2015 car era. It was the peak for me. Went downhill from that point imo, the genuine interest is hardly there anymore. Clout chasing is at an all time high and its within almost every hobby. Social media cooked hard. Glad i kept my 280z thru all the years. It attracts real car enthusiasts of all ages everywhere I drive it.

@@shakotanZ my dad used to have a 280z back in the day before I was born, those are sweet. I can remember when the OG hypercar trinity came out, those were the days man. Clout has really ruined most hobbies! Sad……

I think allot of people also just gatekeep their ego and stuff would be hard to see a guy with like an f80 m3 hanging with someone with a honda civic,

I think that’s the problem. Who cares if your G80 is sitting next to a Civic? I’ll happily park my 22’ Widebody next to a 06’ R/T, obviously that’s different since they are both Chargers but you can get the point. If there was a 765LT and a Golf GTI parked right next to it, yeah I can see why they might get a little sus about door dings or something but there’s no reason to downplay another guys whip because we both know the 765 guy was once a GTI level car guy

Someone had to say it

@@sosic172 I believe a lot of people feel the same way, but think they can’t speak out on it!

You need to go backwards, i've had evo's wrx's newer bmws, the community sucks as a whole but you'll find groups for specific cars that are awesome, i got a 1989 e34 535i at the moment and a 1998 e39 523i as my daily. ive found more people are interested in chatting and showing them these older cars as they are interesting, allot of new cars just feel like reskins or a bit soulless . im rambling now but the best car community i was in was perhaps the subaru community as everyone was very friendly and helpful and actually doing things like meeting up etc, i just got kinda bored of the subaru platform. there are good communities out there but as a whole its pretty dry out here

@deviouscarma yeah most definitely. You can always find a little group of people who genuinely care for cars or a type of car, I just wish the whole community felt the same way. My local Z community is pretty good since we have a shop that specializes in Z/JDM stuff, but there is definitely some ricers/clout chasers too. I love Subarus and would like to own a Hawkeye STI someday, the flat 4 sounds so good with the right exhaust setup. I agree on newer cars feeling kinda lifeless. Some manufacturers are definitely worse about that then others but my 350Z will always feel more exciting than my 392 even if it’s way slower. True car enthusiasts will always be out there, it’s just getting harder to find them!
