You can get a suburban LS 4x4 with a diesel engine for 65k MSRP if you don't care about a ton of options. Ours diesel burb get about 27mpg on the highway with a 700 mile range (28 gallon diesel tank). Perfect road trip vehicle and tows our boat very nicely with all the diesel torque.

@@landonpayne1451 owned a suburban 3.0 for 2 years now. No issues and put 22k miles on it. We mostly drive it on long trips (did a little over 2000 miles in June) and tow our boat and waverunner often. I think the people that have emissions issues are babying it too much trying to get really good fuel economy (hypermile) and taking short trips. I've only had to do oil changes and I changed the fuel filter once at 20k. I use the cheapest def I could find at Walmart for 8.88 for 2.5gal. as long as you use it like a diesel and work the engine some I don't think you'll have any issues.

@@revnation_auto not much difference than gas except for dumping in some DEF fluid every so often (Walmart supertech for $8.88 works perfectly). I do my own oil changes and fuel filter changes at home more frequently than the owners manual calls for. Transmission fluid will need to be changed every 45k since we tow frequently. Walmart sells the DexosD approved mobil one ESPx2 oil which makes it inexpensive and convenient.

Ford hybrid F150 at least made an effort but sales for these machines is quite low and yes these are profit machines...when sold in volume. GM ain't making money that matters on this product in these amounts whereas the Ford Maverick and Toyota Sequoia keeps causing more than a few problems for GM which straight up can't even make a sedan period anymore let alone a good one. Verdict: as with everything else the 2025 Models can't come soon enough

Solid click bait title you got there. Only people who buy Suburbans new are those who actually need them. Tahoe and pickups are more bread and butter vehicles for the 'average' household. Which, looking back at the Tahoe over the last 6-7 years except 2020, the monthly numbers are right in there. Some years had a couple thousand more sales per month, some years had a couple thousand less. Which I am quite surprised about. I figured the pricing and interest would have beat down the numbers, but I say it all the time, there are A LOT of folks out there with a lot of money.
