@@landonpayne1451 owned a suburban 3.0 for 2 years now. No issues and put 22k miles on it. We mostly drive it on long trips (did a little over 2000 miles in June) and tow our boat and waverunner often. I think the people that have emissions issues are babying it too much trying to get really good fuel economy (hypermile) and taking short trips. I've only had to do oil changes and I changed the fuel filter once at 20k. I use the cheapest def I could find at Walmart for 8.88 for 2.5gal. as long as you use it like a diesel and work the engine some I don't think you'll have any issues.

Like with EVs. There are only a certain amount of the population that want them or can really afford them and that population has been maxed out. The rest and majority of the population are in fixed low incomes or are living paycheck to paycheck. They need a common 20-30k car.

I own 2024 black out suburban premier model 22” wheels and big boy 6.2l v8. When it comes to hauling family, going on long trips or pulling up to standing crowd its lion of vehicle. it’s a beast and king of road. Its has performance, personality and get the f out the way because president is behind you. I think it’s even better looking than Escalade. I can afford and i love it. Just because you can not afford it doesn’t mean you should hate it. It has its own presence that no other vehicle can match

People are still buying GM full size 1500 trucks they sold over 100,000 this quarter. GM overall sales were up 1% this quarter Americans don't care about debt they love being in it I have seen people financing vehicles now for 84 to 96 months. Crazy it is but the American way is to live in debt.

Damn, those prices are high for those!! If I had kids, I would opt for a small class C motorhome. For about the same price you get a toilet, a sink, a shower, refrigerator, a microwave, stove, couch, tv and a bed! I don't think these should cost more than $50,000 tops!! And $50K should be with all the bells and whistles!

I bought a new Suburban in 1999 for 29k out the door. Which is about 55k today. These prices are so out of control for what you’re getting. 29k in 1999 was expensive, but not crazy at all. 75k is ridiculous, even though I can easily afford it. I simply won’t pay that much.

When we bought our 2013 Ford Expedition Limited EL, we paid 26k cash. Second owner, in perfect condition. We've put 50k miles on it and hasn't skipped a beat. These new SUVs look cool, but they are never getting my money. Me and my wife bought our first home for 75k.... 3/2 1600sqft in FL back in 2014.

I’ve owned 3 Suburbans going back to ‘96 and each went 200k+ miles, 8+ years, and treated me and my family really well. I think I was the typical customer. But, the rate that the MSRP has grown far outstripped my salary increases. I’m liking the Traverse LS (8 passenger) as it’s almost the size of my ‘96 and almost the msrp of my 2012!

Bought a 24’ Suburban LT 2WD TX edition with the LT signature plus package for 60k drive out. More than enough luxury and space for the fam. Traded in the 2015 Tahoe LT with 135k. Great vehicle for being 6’7. Parents had an 88’ burban, 95’ Tahoe and a 06’ burban and they never let us down and took us everywhere. At this point, I swear by them and it would take a lot of crappy experiences to turn me off. I figure at this point, that ain’t gonna happen.

High auto loan interest rates and tight credit qualifications are really slowing sales of expensive vehicles. Also, inflation has caused many people to run up high credit card balances. I love my 2012 Suburban and take very good care of it.

Daily is a paid 2008 Nissan Pathfinder V8 👍Made them from 2008-2012 to compete with the V8 4Runner at the time. The Pathfinder has that normally aspirated 5.6 stuffed into the hood 😁 With 165k on the clock it's been extremely reliably. No turbos, no GDI, no expensive tech, no nonsense 👌

Solid click bait title you got there. Only people who buy Suburbans new are those who actually need them. Tahoe and pickups are more bread and butter vehicles for the 'average' household. Which, looking back at the Tahoe over the last 6-7 years except 2020, the monthly numbers are right in there. Some years had a couple thousand more sales per month, some years had a couple thousand less. Which I am quite surprised about. I figured the pricing and interest would have beat down the numbers, but I say it all the time, there are A LOT of folks out there with a lot of money.

Go talk to the finance manager at a large dealership and ask how broke people aren’t. The prices of everything is sky high and wages haven’t grown for crap. They’ve seen their loan qualifications drop by 50% in some cases because of debt to income ratios. My brother in-law owns a repo business. He can’t keep up with demand, there are endless defaults like he’s never seen in 30 years. People are definitely broke.

@@revnation_auto was just getting my oil changed at Lexus of Louisville and spoke with my former salesman. He say they had sold 130+ cars near the end of June (A great month in his words). This despite the software hack. My dad just bought a new Subaru Crosstrek. He said the dealership was slammed. The automakers who have repeatedly raped the consumer are now paying the price for their greed. Clearly everyone is not broke.

Needs to start emphasizing how is an actual work truck as Tesla is now moving into that market big time as well. Ford hybrid F150 at least made an effort but sales for these machines is quite low and yes these are profit machines...when sold in volume. GM ain't making money that matters on this product in these amounts whereas the Ford Maverick and Toyota Sequoia keeps causing more than a few problems for GM which straight up can't even make a sedan period anymore let alone a good one. Verdict: as with everything else the 2025 Models can't come soon enough
