Bought my 2024 Trax 2RS on 05/23/23 and I couldn't be more pleased! Gettin 35.9 mpg on my commute drive. Absolutely no problem mergin on to the hiway or keeping up eith or passing traffic. I would say this is more than an entry level vehicle The design is well executed and the looks of the Trax is great!!

I have gotten to drive one around quite extensively and they are super peppy! If anyone has trouble merging into traffic or passing or with everyday driving in this vehicle then they simply don't know how to drive and probably shouldn't be behind the wheel. 🤔

I bought this trim in mid-January and have been driving it to and from work (10 mles each way on the street) and I can say that is a fine car (my other vehicle is a 2006 Pontiac Torrent which I still own). It has been averaging 26 m.p.g on the street and the few times I have driven it on the Expressway, it has made 32 m.p.g. Not a bad ride eather, the seat is comfortable (I am 5'8" mid frame). Only time will tell how reliable it will be.

People will think I'm crazy, but I just traded a 2023 Audi S3 for two of these. A 2RS for me that I picked up yesterday and an ACTIV for my daughter that desperately needed a car. So far I've driven mine 250 miles and love it! In the 30 or so hours I've had it four people have come up to me to check it out and ask about it and everyone loved how it looks. My favorite things are the looks, features, roominess, quietness, mpg. Mine has a sunroof and I'm 6'1 and I have at least 3 inches of headroom. Obviously the loss of power compared to my S3 is enormous, but I need to slow my addiction for speed. If you are contemplating getting one of these you better act fast. Dealers in the Atlanta area are selling out quickly and the largest Chevy dealer in town and probably the country is marking them up $3k to $5k depending on the trim level. Personally I would never buy anything from them and wish others would follow. They are crooks.

I remember when anything under 10 seconds was rocket like. The last Chevrolet I owned was a 1969 Impala. Obviously it was a few years ago. I am currently driving a 2018 Honda CR-V that I bought when I retired. I have never liked it. I was thinking about a Tucson but I live in an area where theft is a major concern. I would consider this vehicle. We rarely drive long trips anymore and I find the price very attractive. I realize that you get what you pay for but for my station in life this might be enough car. I could buy two for what the average vehicle sells for.

@@myNEONCITY I have never been all that thrilled with my 2018 CR-V. Admittedly I came out of a 2013 Acura RDX that I loved, but I stupidly wanted to start my retirement in a brand new car with a warranty. My tastes and needs in a vehicle are quite different today than in 2018. I no longer drive longer trips and I hate the CVT in the Honda. I’m old enough that I still like changing vehicles every 5 years or so. If I get a car that I like I will drive it into the ground. My other car is a 2007 Hyundai Sonata that has been by far the BEST car that I have ever owned. I still love it

I saw this car yesterday for the first time and I thought it was some sort of budget-luxury vehicle, like an entry level Lexus or something, until I saw the Chevy logo, then I was even more impressed when I saw that it's a Trax. Good review. I am considering purchasing an RS1or RS2. I like the keyless entry and push button start in the RS2 but i prefer the analog guages in the RS1 and lower price tag. I will definitely get the driver confidence package and the sunroof package added on as well. Color will be Fountain Blue. I also think I prefer the 18-in wheels due to the higher side wall so it probably rides a little bit better than the 19-inch wheel with its stiffer sidewall. I did get to drive an RS1 for a day and really liked it. It has plenty of pep and handles great! I would like to check out the interior in an RS2 to see how it compares. I did like the cloth seats but am afraid that they'll stain easily. The red stitching in the RS2 looks cool in the videos but I will have to check it out in person to see if I like the feel of the vinyl. Great looking car too.

Sounds like turbo lag.
@AutomotiveAnonymous208
@AutomotiveAnonymous208 Жыл бұрын
I’m thinking the same thing as these other replies, turbo lag. With only 1.2 liters it takes a second to move enough air to spool the tiny turbo. That’s why the driver seat feel of my 0-60 launch was somewhat surprising that the torque converter let me rev so high. It was actually in the powerband which felt good, but then by about 40MPH you feel the lack of horsepower with that next upshift and power drops off. Thanks for watching! 🙂
